Eldrin, no longer interested in the Deku traveller. Stole the mask he'd been thinking of stealing earlier. It depicted a smiling face, painted black with gold around all the edges and around the eyes and mouth. (I'll describe it better later)
"I was wondering when you would take that!" The Happy Mask Salesman said turning to the thief. "It's called the Purloined Mask. It can only be acquired by stealing... Unfortunately it has no other actual uses..."
Eldrin grinned and put on his new mask. "Just the way I like them... Hard to get but useless when you get it."

The Deku looked at the Happy Mask Salesman with a curious look. "What are you..."it asked in a curious, child-like voice.
"I am the Happy Mask Salesman! I travel the world looking for masks so that others may become happy." The Happy Mask Salesman said, bowing to the Deku.
"Why do I get the feeling that he's here for more than just handing out masks and taking back the one he gave me 10 years ago...?" Torak thought, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
"My being here will come quite clear to you soon, Master Assassin...for now...take that artifact I gave you all those years ago and bring it to the Temple of Time.." The Happy Mask Salesman said, looking at Torak.
Torak's eyes widened at the fact that the Mask Salesman somehow read his mind...even more so of the fact that not even Ganondorf himself could read it...due to Zanzabar's protection.

As the Salesman spoke, the jeweled mask sparkled brilliantly in the dim bar light. Iona found herself transfixed by it, painfully realizing there was nothing more that she wanted. The desire to have it as her own burned more than that for treasure, and it rather frightened her. Her uncle's letter slipped from her hands, falling to the dirty ground. She stepped from behind Torak's suddenly tense form, too focused on the mask to know what was going on.
The mask was perhaps the most beautiful thing she's seen in a while. It was a mask that covered the face completely, and the mask was made in the likeliness of a doll. The mask was made out of porcelain like material, but even from her distance she knew the mask not to be frail. The lips were perfect and blood red, the white cheeks had a rosy blush and ornate designs lined the face and eyes as delicately as a fairy's wing, the lines colored a dark green. A single bright blue sapphire was set in the center of the forehead, with smaller various jewels lining the hair line. It was beautiful. It was perfect. It had to be hers.
Iona had continued to step forward until she bumped into the bar hard, her face just a couple of feet from the Salesman. She dug her nails into the wooden counter. "I need it. I want it. I must have it," she said, her voice low, her eyes vivid and wild. A crazed look was in her gaze and she fearlessly stared the strange man down, electricity heavy in the air. His smile only grew. "But of course! Of course! I was waiting for you to ask, since I aquired the mask especially for you, Miss Iona A'di Solas. Just for you," he said happily, placing the mask down. The air grew heavy and the light seemed to shudder as the mask hit the table. "Yes. Just for you. Indeed," he murmured, a dark light in his squinted eyes. Then he smiled just as sunnily as before."This is the Maiden Mask. It will serve you well I'm sure..." Iona snatched it up and held it to her, her eyes narrowed at everybody.

"Oh my...look at the time...it does seem to fly by when one is having fun...I must get going now...I am a very busy man...but don't worry! I shall be back to visit you soon!!" The Happy Mask Salesman said, bowing to everyone in the bar and he went out the door

Ignoring everybody, Iona raised the mask up near her face, and seeing no sort of strings or other methods of fastening it to her, she simply placed it on her face. The mask fell in perfectly on her features, clearly molded and carefully made just for her. It fit her like a second skin. Iona lowered her arms and seemed satisfied.
Then a powerful gust of wind burst into the place, and suddenly Iona's body was thrown and she fell back against the bar, her arm hitting the array of bottles, glass exploding everywhere. Then, all was still just as suddenly as it wasn't. Liquor pooled around her limp form and poured out of their shattered containers. Blood oozed out glass shards embedded into her arm that had hit the bottles. An old man, a regular, shrieked in indignation. "Look at this! Look at this! In all my years, never was there no liquor! And now this idiot wench spilt it all! An abmination I say!" he cried in a warbly voice, shaking his cane. All the occupants of the bar watched him slowly make his way behind the bar and began to beat Iona with his cane, although he couldn't raise his arm much higher than an inch, yelling all the while.

Torak grabbed the old man's cane and firmly said "I suggest you stop this...before this town loses another one of its pathetic drunken old fools." A little bit of Zanzabar's voice slipped out when he said 'fools'

Eldrin had been watching the old man beat the masked Gerudo with no intention of stopping the situation. He sighed when Torak acted, but decided to make the best of the situation. "I'd take the suggestion if I were you, pops... Torak can be scary when he's mad!" He said, stealing the man's rupee purse as he passed. "Actually, he's scary most of the time... I think it's 'cause he doesn't smile enough."

"One thing I hate about bars...are the local drunks." Torak said, looking back at Iona with the mask on her face. He didn't like this...not at all.
The Deku looked at the package in it's hands and wondered why it was here again.

"Eh? What's this? Unhand me, cretin! I will call the guard on you! My great grandson is on watch!" the old man threatened and struggled hard in pulling his cane away from Torak. From the ground, Iona groaned and moved a little, her good arm coming up to her face as her fingers tried to pry the mask off but to no avail.

"I will kill every single one of your living family members if you do not get out of my sight, old man!" Torak threatened the old drunken fool. "I think he's serious, mister!" The Deku piped up as it watched with the package still in it's wooden hands.
Torak looked back at Iona and said "I know how to remove it...I just need this damned idiot out of here."

Eldrin giggled at the old man... Guards... How funny! He turned his attention back to the confused Deku. "Soooooo... What's in the package?" The thief asked, diving across the bar and tackling the little creature off of it's barstool. It wasn't a malicious tackle... Just a playful one.

The old man threw his leg back and with a grunt and a fart kicked Iona in the side, and snatched his cane up and scuttled out of the bar. "Young people these days with their little swords and cloaks...running around and strutting around like they own the damn city...in my day..." he grumbledas he made his way out of the bar slowly, holding his back. The old man left without much show.
Iona sat up, using her right arm to hold herself up, only getting even more shards into her hand. It wasn't her main focus though. She desperately clawed at the mask, shaking. "It's not coming off...get it off! Get it off!" she cried, her voice high. Behind her eyes, she saw unspeakable things flashing before her vision. It was like looking into hell. She thrashed, swearing that her body was burning.

Torak reached into his pouch and pulled out a jet-black ocarina. He placed it to his lips and played a strange song...one that would heal those who heard it. The power of the song tugged at the mask...weakening it's grip on Iona's face. Torak continued to play...the Mask Salesman played this song when Torak was near death...and the Master Assassin remembered the song...even though he was half concious.

Iona froze on the ground as she recognized the notes of the gentle song. Seiji would hum it all the time, she realized as the hellish visions ceased and the mask seemed to sigh. She used her fingers to pry it off, and it came off easily, clattering to the floor. She hummed the rest of the song absently, her voice somewhat rusty with disuse but the quality of it still there. Iona seemed to just realize she was on the ground and she stared at her shard embedded arm in disbelief. She then took her wide eyed stare on everybody else, from the Deku, to Eldrin, then Lien and finally Torak, who was holding the ocarina. Using her good arm she read the letter again carefully. "My uncle said not to put it on," she said to no one in particular. She looked back down at her arm. "Oww. Does anybody know where's a doctor? I don't think glass is suppose to be in my arm..." she said as blood now gushed from the shards, some of them thick pieces embedded in deep. She shakily stood up and muttered something about finding help.

Torak put the ocarina back in his pouch and said "There's a doctor who takes residence on the second floor of the inn. Just mention you know the Desert Monk and he'll treat you free of charge." Torak said, offering a hand to help her up.
The Deku wiggled free from Eldrin's tackle and looked at the package. "I would be grateful if someone showed me the way to the mayor."
