Though she doesn’t like to fight much, Rii does carry around a staff that is four and a half feet long and made of sturdy white wood. It looks like a simple rod, but the last four inches turns into an egg-shaped cage of branches surrounding a bundle of rocks and jewels her mother found. According to her mother, each material has a different meaning like ‘protection’ and ‘luck’ so that her daughter will be watched over wherever she goes, but there’s yet to be any proof of those materials actually working in such a way.

Rii can focus on an object and tell if it is poisonous (a drink, a plant, etc.), if it is sick (a person or animal) and/or if it can help cure a sickness or injury (plant, or in rare cases an animal or other object like a rock). She must be within five feet of the object, and it will likely take a few seconds for her to discover any of the three properties, and a few minutes minimum if looking for more than one property.
Weakness:
Rii is socially naïve and not very good at following orders, mostly because curiosity will pull her away towards something else. Rii is not good with dry places such as deserts, and her body does not handle electric magic well, being a Zora.
Appearance:
Rii is five feet tall, being on the shorter side for a Zora. Her eyes are bright green, and she is covered from head to toe in smooth, medium-dark blue-silver scales with a bit of a blue and purple sheen in most lights. The scales get lighter around the edge of her face, her fins, and the end of the dolphin tail-like limb that extends from the back of her skull and, if measured, would almost reach her elbows. Two symmetrical fins frame her face, growing out from the top of her head. They are repeatedly bent like large locks of wavy hair, framing her face but stopping a centimeter after reaching her small chin. These fins are a paler silver than most of her scales, like the end of the dolphin tail head structure. Like most female Zoras, she relies on the slightly pronounced curves of her hips and her breasts to indicate she’s actually female, and if it weren’t for Rii’s wider eyes and face, her subtle curves might go unnoticed and she might be mistaken for a young male Zora. Gills frame her rib cage. A set of fins extend from her forearms, though they are only about fourteen inches long, which is short compared to some, and pale silver whereas the ridges on the fins are dark silver. Even smaller fins extend from her ankles, following the same coloration patterns as the fins on her forearms, and these fins are only about three inches long. Her hands and feet are subtly webbed, just enough to giver her more of an edge in water, but not enough to where she can’t feel mud between her toes and run her fingers through seaweed.
Rii doesn’t especially like to wear clothes, but its one of the few social customs she actually acknowledges, and one of the very rare few about the Hylian world above water that she knows of. Since she spends a minimal amount of time in water these days, Rii has become accustom to wearing clothes, though only one makes any sense, as any other outfits she pieces together will contain wild colors that clash with her scales and random layers and pieces of jewelry that confuse many. Mostly Rii wears a single outfit that she washes many times. She wears a pale gray tunic that reaches the middle of her thighs, where it is a bit loser. However, once it reaches her hips it is form fitting. The top does not have sleeves, and instead of straps, the top simply continues upward, angling inward and wrapping around her neck until it is merely two thin strips of cloth attached to her sleeveless/strapless tunic, which she clips together behind her neck with a clip made of two creamy-white shells and silver. Flowing purple lines outline the edges of her tunic. Beneath her tunic she wears breeches made of cheap, light weight cloth. The breeches are off-white, and are haphazardly cut off a few inches below the knees. Rii still doesn’t quite get shoes, and only wears a pair of cheaply made, dark leather boots if she absolutely has to, and there are very few occasions where this is so.
History:
Rii was born along with three brothers in a small river in Hyrule to two Ocean Zoras. One, Lorne, went off to work as a guard for the Zora royalty. Rii helped her mother collect materials to make jewelry out of that they could sell, and that is when she discovered her power, which she suspects developed from coming from a long line of healers broken by her mother, who decided to make jewelry instead. She kept to herself most of her childhood and was dubbed a socially awkward oddball by all the other Zoras she met, as she liked to observe plants and animals and talk to herself, but she did have a few close friends. When she was twelve, she went to visit her brother, and then became the healer for the guards. They made her her first and only weapon, a white staff that was charmed so it could be used underwater without rotting. After eight years, she decided she was too familiar with the water, and wanted to explore the land. For the next five years she travelled through Hyrule and then smaller countries, trying to build her reputation as a traveling healer. She recently returned to Hyrule.
