The white fox shook his head. "I see where you want to take revenge for your deceased family by killing this man, however, I'm going to have to decline. I don't work in the assassination business like Blade does, I work for myself and my own reasons alone. I do not need to have the blood of an unnecessary target on my hands, be it they deserve it or not. Besides, I have other business to attend to anyways."

Thell didn't get why Blade was emphasizing his advice so much, but Vandir made a mental note of it so he could tell her the moment she was ready to actually understand. Still, there was one thing she did understand, and that was that the assassin had agreed to come along. Sappho declined in his formal and polite way, which was disappointing for a split second because Thell could've sworn he was hinting at joining, but the disappointment went away the moment he said 'other business'. "Excellent! This quest might turn out even better. As for you, Mr. Mysterious, I can only accept your decision.. Attend to this business of yours and don't bother with mine. I appreciate your honesty... even if you'll miss out on a lot of potential mayhem," Thell said, waving her hand dismissively at him. Such a vague man he was. Couldn't even be completely honest, and he looked around her age. Thell had worse... well, at least more obvious scars than him, and she was equally as honest. But perhaps his evading manner matched the secrecy of his scars if he had any. Thell wasn't thinking that deeply, but Vandir was all about higher thinking.
"And I appreciate you coming along, Blade," Vandir said. "There's no doubt you know more than Thell. Honest and passionate she is. Wise, patient and clever she is not."

Sappho couldn't help but chuckle. It seems that Thell was trying to sway Sappho to change his mind by saying how much he'll miss on this little adventure of hers, but of course he didn't mind. "I know I could be missing out on alot on your adventure, but honestly I'm staying by my decision of not joining along. I'm sorry if you were hoping I would join, but I'm certain Blade will become a great ally to you though."

"Right. Well, since I don't want to eat my entire food supply before this quest even starts, I need to sleep to keep up my energy. Otherwise I'll have to shut off Vandir, and I haven't done that in months," Thell explained. "Since you're not coming on the adventure, Sappho, as you've made it so clear, can I trust that you won't harm me?"
Vandir wanted to bring up that he'd breathe fire at Sappho before he could touch Thell, but that wouldn't be well received by his creator.

"Of course I won't harm you. If I won't come with you after your target, what makes you believe that an arsonist will side with a water-bender like myself? Besides like I said, I do not kill targets at random, I have my own targets to worry about." Sappho replied, crossing his arms as a frown graced his lips from behind his iron tiger mask.

Thell laughed as Sappho made all his points. "I'm so tired you could've just said 'no' or 'I won't harm you' and I would've gone right to sleep. But since you've brought it up," Thell said as she reached into her pack and pulled out a blanket. "I could be a target of yours. You're so secretive, I don't know why you're here, or why you target people. But you've made it plain I'm not a target, so I guess all is well. At least for me when it comes to you and whether or not I'll be able to sleep."
With that she turned to her wolf creation, who was chasing his tail again. She snapped her fingers softly to call his attention, and then opened up her hand. The green threads of life fled from him and entered her hand in the blink of an eye, and Thell felt a bit of weight leave her shoulders.

"I know I must seem like I'm frustrating you with my riddles, but I really don't feel comfortable about others knowing about me." Sappho spoke, watching the life of the wooden wolf left its body and returned to his owner.

Thell collected the pieces of her wolf and placed it in a pocket in her pack. As she did she said, "Oh pah, if everyone knows everything about you already, then they can't threaten you with secret knowledge about you."
"You know, there's other reasons to keep information from people," Vandir remarked.
Thell shrugged as she settled in to sleep, which really was just falling on top of her bedroll. "Fine. Well, I'm sleeping now, so be prepared. Because I'm thinking the place to go is going to be to the Gerudos."

"Looking forward to it." Blade remarked before slumping against a tree.

At dawn, Thell woke up to something nudging her head. She instantly knew what it was and snapped, "I'm really beginning to dislike you as my wake up call."
"You've been saying that for years," Vandir pointed out, watching his creator sluggishly sit up. Her eye still wasn't open, but she began reaching for her pack wherever it may have been.
"Morning traveling partner of... let's say five hours," Thell grumbled to Blade after badly estimating how long it had been since Blade agreed to travel with her. She wasn't even sure he was still there. He may have ditched, but at the moment she had no clue, instead mindlessly grasping at the grass until she felt her pack. Then she yanked it towards her. Food... so very necessary...

Blade came out of the forest, a rabbit's foot sticking out of his mouth as he hummed a tune. On his belt were several newly-filled waterskins.
"Oh, you're awake." He said through the rabbit's leg. The movement of his mouth caused it to twitch in an unsettling manner.

He was awake! Before her! Thell's one eye now snapped open in shock. Ugh. She felt like she'd been shown up by her new traveling partner. "You didn't tell me he was awake already..." Thell tried to grumble secretively to Vandir.
"I didn't think it mattered," the wooden dragon responded coolly.
Thell stuck out her tongue before following Blade in eating breakfast. A hunk of bread sounded appetizing. Said 'hunk of bread breakfast' became 'hunk of bread plus random bird eggs found in a nearby nest and another apple breakfast', but there wasn't really much difference, right? Vandir rolled his eyes, glad Thell was active enough to not become fat with her large meals. With the food quickly entering Thell's belly she said, "A couple more seconds and I'll put my wolf back together and we can head for the Gerudos."
ooc: ... Adventure. Asap. I'm a slow builder for such things. Sorry.

"Take your time." Blade sai before pulling the rabbit leg from his mouth and tossing it into the woods. "Though you might want to leave it in pieces. It's a long way to the desert, having the wolf around will just tire you out faster."

Dew settled in little droplets atop Kadina's long unkept hair which lay around her on a bed of leaves. She murmured lightly in her sleep as the birds began to chirp, the sun rising and breaking through the trees, casting rays through the canopy of branches above her. It glistened in the dew drops and warmed her skin in patches. She smiled in her sleep and rolled over on her side bringing her hands up under her cheek for comfort.
A lady bug traveled delicately across the greenery, making its way toward Kadina's face when suddenly a large sparrow dive-bombed the small critter. Kadina was startled awake by the vigorous flapping of it's wings. She had felt its vibrations in the air. Instantly, she sat up and gasped. Her hand had already instinctively reached for her dagger which had been thrown into the belly of the bird before her gasp could cease. Seeing it's blood soak the ground where it lay, she finally exhaled with her hands pressed against the earth. She slumped and hung her head in relief while she caught her breath and waited for her heart beat to normalize. Once it had, she kept her head down, dug her finger tips into the ground, and whispered a prayer for the sparrow's spirit to be released into the earth where it's life and energy could flow within everything around her.
Kadina finished just as her stomach began to growl. She looked up at the sparrow, her hair falling like a wild veil before her eyes, and she licked her lips before rising and collecting her "breakfast."
Holding a dry leaf between her fingers, Kadina focused the humming charge of electricity that existed within her ever since her deathly encounter with Luca at Zora's river. The leaf caught fire from an ephemeral spark that flickered from her finger tip. She immediately set the flaming leaf on a pile of sticks for her to cook the sparrow.
Fire... Zora's river...
It all reminded her of the dream she had the night before of some travelers in the woods. All Kadina could remember was animated wooden objects, a plot of revenge, numerous mentions of fire and pyros, and one mention of a healing zora which interested her the most.
Wait.... Was that a dream? The sparrow sizzled in the heat of the flame. Smoke wafted higher into the air carrying the scent of her cooked meat. Her brow furrowed as she tried to remember. Talking wooden objects? It had to be...but... Her eyes widened. She picked up a handful of dirt and tossed it on the fire then stood and continued to stomp it out. After destroying the last little ember, she sheltered her eyes from the sun as she looked up at the smoke signal that had been created. It wasn't a dream... She pulled the cooked sparrow off of her knife and readied herself knowing they had to be close. She had given herself away...

Blade's nostrils flared as they took in the smoke smell. It was close, almost frighteningly so. It had to be a forest fire, there was no way he'd miss someone else camping so close to them. But he also knew that it had to be man-made. The conditions for a wildfire were all wrong, the sun was too low, and the grass was wet with dew. The fire had been started by someone.
"Someone's here." Blade warned quietly. "Come on out." He called out to the rest of the forest. "I won't hurt you if you don't hurt me." He said, resting his right hand on the handle of his dagger.
