Power [limited to 1]:
Thell is able to animate any wooden object she has made so long as she carves a hole into each wooden piece (or more if necessary to connect all the pieces) and carves her initials into the main piece to signal where the life force should be held, as the way to kill any of her creations comes from destroying the piece with her initials on it. Thell’s wooden object must be two or more pieces. The pieces stay connected through green threads of magic that Thell threads through them, hence the holes. The objects have the ability to feel, hear and smell, but not taste. They can also see or talk if given eyes and a mouth. Their life forces leech off Thell’s energy, and can easily make her pass out and go into a coma if she animates something without rest, food and water. If not used correctly, Thell can easily die from her ability.
Weakness:
Fire and small spaces paralyze Thell with fear. If fire kills any wooden object she has animated, she will feel the pain and can die depending on the amount of energy the object was taking.
Appearance:
Thell is five feet and eight inches tall, and is filled out with a voluptuous figure and muscles from hard work. Thell used to try and take care of her hands by wearing gloves to keep her fingers smooth and always wearing shoes to protect her feet while she was working, but after her scarring encounter, she’s decided not to care, and rarely ever wears gloves, and hardly ever wears shoes when out in the wild. Thell has dark red hair that falls a few inches short of her elbows in a tangled mess, though when she’s working or fighting Thell puts it back in a crazy horsetail or with a headband. Her skin is very tan, and if she was a full-bred Gerudo she’d probably have golden eyes as well, but in her case the Gerudo genetics did not take over, and instead she got her father’s blue eyes framed by her mother’s thick lashes. The eyes are the only thing that keep her from looking like a true Gerudo. Her facial features are fairly angular.
After her scarring encounter at age sixteen, Thell’s once beautiful looks have been partially destroyed. Fire ate away at the right half of her body, burning off half of her hair. When it grew back and was finally cut to match the length of the other half of her hair, one part was straight, the other part was a wavy mess. To this day it is still the same, though she purposefully messes up the left half of her hair to make them match. A good portion of the right half of her face was burned, specifically her eyeball, leaving her with only one eye. Her eyebrow was destroyed as well, but the burn kept away from her nose and mouth entirely before creeping down and burning a bit of her neck, and then encasing all of her right shoulder and part of her collar bone. Her right arm was mostly burned as well except for on the part of the arm closest to her side, and then most of her pinky and ring finger, and a bit of her middle finger was burned as well, along with part of the back of her hand. Her right side was only lightly burned, and that healed over time, but a part of her thigh and a small part of her right calf was also burned. Her foot was completely unaffected. Most of the burns have major scarring that looked like thick pink and tan taffy pulled tense over her skin, except for her side, her hand, her neck and her calves, where the skin is just more sensitive and paler and pinker than the rest of her skin. Her face is the most disgusting part, however. Thankfully, it’s only when she exerts her right arm and shoulder when the burn scarring starts to get in the way, because the person who healed her had actually lessened the severity of her burns. Her neck and right arm might’ve been completely useless otherwise, and she probably would’ve died. It’s only her right arm, shoulder and face that is truly disturbing.
Thell used to wear pretty suggestive and revealing clothing, but after the incident the clothes she now wears only show skin because it’s lighter and she likes to bask in the sunlight. Her common outfit is usually a loose pair of lightweight, pale green pants tucked into golden bands encircling the part of her thigh just above her knees. She wears a tight purple top that encases her breasts but cuts off about halfway down her ribcage. The top itself is a one-shoulder. So a purple strap goes over her left shoulder. Thell also has a white scarf that wraps around her neck and can be lifted to cover her nose and mouth, or used as a band to hold back her hair. If she’s dressed for dangerous territory or battle, she’ll wear minimal armor.
History:
Thellaris was born in Hyrule to a Gerudo woman who had been courting a carpenter/woodcutter of a small village near Gerudo Valley. Her mother had been a weapon smith, and was attracted to the carpenter’s ability to craft things with wood instead of metal. However, she died in childbirth, making Thell an only child, and the first child to the carpenter Galmern. Luckily Thell was interested in learning how to fight and work with wood, and she got her whittling knife at age five.
By age seven she had discovered a very odd power. She had crafted herself several pieces of what appeared to be a snake-like dragon with little wings, very intricate claws, large eyes, and a snake body made of several pieces of wood so that, once attached, it would allow it to be moved almost as fluidly as a snake. It had four spindly legs, and a long tail, but it was very complicated, and Thell didn’t know how to attach them. Frustrated, she carved her name into the very middle body piece and set it down beside her bed before she went to sleep, dreaming of her dragon being put together and coming alive. When she woke up, the dragon was alive, and a traveling spell caster explained her power to her.
When she turned ten, Galmern gave her a felling axe and a splitting axe. For her next birthday, she was given a battle axe for all her hard work as she had assisted her father’s business. Her father’s business was becoming very well known as father and daughter continued to improve and began to sell furniture and other crafted pieces to the nobility, until one day a mysterious fire burned down the workshop with her father inside. After rebuilding the shop, she and Galmern's old apprentices ran Goukago Craft, but once she found out it was done on purpose with the intent to kill her, she went looking for the man who had done it. At age sixteen, she was courting a man who, one night, knocked her unconscious and tried to burn a shack down with her in it. She made it out, but would've died if a healer hadn't have found her. After healing and traveling around with the healer for a year to pay back her debt, seventeen-year-old Thell went back to adventuring and training to defeat the man who had attempted to kill both her and her father.
