Eldrin touched his ear confusedly at Vandir's words. He stared in mild shock at the sight of blood on his fingertips. "Damn..." he muttered. Before he could even think of a comeback, Thell, Kadina, Vandir, and Blade were all gone again. Eldrin sighed and peered out the window of the nursery. Hordes of zombies everywhere. If they had done any damage, one could hardly tell. He had to wonder if those cocoon things weren't recycling the dead zombies. Could they do that? At this point he wouldn't really be very surprised. That was when he noticed something odd standing on the other side of the waves of zombies. A literal fish out of water. A Zora, here of all places. What kind of insane Zora would travel this far inland? Oh, duh, "Rii!"
Eldrin sighed and looked around as quick as he could without disturbing his head. Rii was no fighter, she would need help. And he definitely couldn't do the job. A crazy ass amount of zombies, and a near suicidal rescue mission... He was going to need help... and not the mentally stable kind.
"Good thing we got plenty of crazy lyin' around here," Eldrin wrapped his hand around one wild chunk of Iona's hair and dragged her out the door, offering no explanation whatsoever to Argoth and Maximus. When they finally made it outside, the thief released her, and immediately produced a shiny rupee from his sleeve. He rolled the rupee across his knuckles mesmerizingly to distract the Gerudo from killing him for pulling her hair. "Hey, Iona, I heard that zombie over their was saying you have tiny boobs, and a flat ass," he said, pointing to an imaginary zombie in the middle of the horde, "also... they have food..."
With that done, the thief turned to the tree that Blade was sitting in. "Hey Blade! I'm in the mood for seafood, mind fetching me some take-out?" he asked, pointing across the town at Rii.

Mid-scratching Eldrin's face, Iona froze, all tender-headedness forgotten. What? She was ugly? She looked down at her chest, upper lip sticking out, then turned around to look at her bottom. Was one hundred fifty butt lifts not enough? She is the ugly eaglet among the swans! All those times those girls and those women scoffed at her for being too scrawny, then too fat, then too ugly. They must've been right!
She glared dejectedly at the zombie, who was in fact the remnants of a female, and started to access her. She couldn't tell by the rotting face muscles, but she must've been pretty, Iona thought. Despite the decomposition muscle atrophy, she must've had something on her too. The black haired Gerudo sniffed and hugged her arms, thinking they too were too fat and huddled down. She was ugly. Even an eyeless zombie could see it. She started in desperation.
"Am I ugly?!" she cried to a zombie, shaking him by the shoulders. "Bbbllllaaarrrrghhh..." exclaimed the zombie, jerkily raising a hand to her face and letting its hand run down it in fascination. She smiled then, confidence an inkling up from rock bottom. She turned back to the zombie in the middle, purpose in her eyes. The zombie opened his mouth, leaning in from the side to get a nice chunk out of her face.
Literally alight with determination, Iona set out for her confidence-seeking war path, the force field of electricity she made continuously frying her 30 second zombie love and confidence booster. Scuffling up decomposed goop and fry it as she ran to the endless horde, Iona threw lightning bolts at the undeads, screaming about swans and eaglets.
Afraid of all the light from the lightning, the zombies started flee, but Iona fried each and every zombie, searching for the one with the dangling scraps of blonde hair on her rotted hair, the one that dared say some shit about her and can't face up to it.

"Don't mention eating to Iona and then call that person "seafood!"" Blade called down to Eldrin. Even with his sense of smell gone, he retained the sanity necessary to drop logic on Eldrin. He had no way of knowing who Rii was, or even that she was a Zora, until he saw her in the zombie crowd. "Oh. Yeah, I guess "seafood" does kinda make sense..." He sat and thought for a moment, which was easy when he could only hear the battle instead of smell it. To him, it was like a storm that sat on the edge of his perceptions. He was aware of it, but it did not concern him.
A wayward zombie limb struck his foot and he remembered where he was with a blink. "Oh yeah... Coming right up!" He called. With a tight backflip, Blade set his footing back on the branch. "And Iona!" He looked to her with a grin. "You're very pretty." He jumped from the tree branch and dived into the zombies again. He spun as he fell and golden energy collected around him. "Claw..." The energy collected in his claws and flared outward. "Tornado!" His body spun at high speeds and landed among the zombies, causing a shock wave of the gold energy to spread out from his impact point. A line of golden light tore through the zombies and headed in Rii's direction. It nearly hit her before Blade came out of the spin just in front of Rii. With a yell and a mighty roar, he directed the energy on his claws forward and off to Rii's sides. The golden energy blew her skirt up, but did not harm her.
"Hiya." Blade said with more of an edge that he had intended. He couldn't help it. His nose was gone and he did not know this Zora. "Eldrin wants to see you, so I guess he doesn't owe you money. Name's Blade and I'll be your tour guide through this hole." He turned and looked at all the carnage and devastation they had caused. "Well, what's left of it." He shrugged as he turned back to Rii.

Thell thankfully went for the left side, meaning she could still keep an eye on the horde she was approaching. The right side would've doomed her thanks to her blind side.
She adjusted her grip on her axe and began to spin it in her grasp just to warm up her fingers some more as she ran before beginning to hack through the group, splattering purple blood over the floor beneath her and her clothes. If she weren't so distracted with the gaping maws full of rotting yellow teeth that were going for her, Thell might've wondered if the blood would stain her green pants and turn it into a a sight that could match her ugly burns. But it didn't occur to her that she might have to buy a new pair of zombie-guts-free pants.
"Is thif going fu fain my woodf?" Vandir asked between a mouthful of zombie flesh that he could luckily not taste, but still brought too recent memories of Thell's brief undead snack.
It also made her think of her pants. "Dammit, I'm broke. I can't afford pants! You zombies owe me pants, and lime green too!" she hissed, beheading one zombie who actually seemed to be considering what she was saying with a puzzled and slightly scared expression.
Another grabbed her leg, causing her to trip on the already slippery ground, but if Thell was going to fall she would be falling in style as she cleaved one zombie in two straight down the middle... well, sort of straight. The upper right portion of the zombie crumpled to the ground separated from the rest, and the stabbed at the arm of the zombie with the spike on the end of her axe before whirling it at a second zombie who was trying to kneel down to attack her. By that time Vandir had bitten off the arm that had tripped her in the first place, and Thell was up, finishing off her zombie horde and hoping Kadina was done too.
"Are you ready for the forest?" she hollered, decapitating the last zombie before looking over, muscles tense in preparation to run to Kadina's aid or the forest.
The rotten blood Rii had been smelling was quickly explained as she spotted the aggressive and limping corpses that were packing themselves tight around a building while a few others began to drift out to attack the few living people that seemed to be putting up a fight.
She glanced down at the white staff that she gripped in one webbed hand, wondering if she would have to use it and the teachings of her brother and the other Zora guards. She was no skilled fighter, but she could fend off things if she had a goal in mind, like, find the people who were bleeding so much? Currently Eldrin's blood was the strongest to her senses, and that was worrying, so perhaps that was her goal?
Rii's green eyes glanced upwards again as she registered the scene, identifying those that were alive and those numerous peculiarities that were reanimated despite their rotten state.
She had no time to form a plan or a place to go, as there was suddenly a golden light exploded from the other end of the horde. A spinning figure was nearing her, eliminating zombies in ever direction with golden light that was coming from... his claws? Rii hoped one zombie corpse remained for her to look at, but perhaps she wouldn't be so sad if she could look at the man that was nearing her, as he didn't quite match some of the more popular Hyrule races.
Rii wondered if she should've moved away as he came closer, deadly golden light and all, but he stopped right before her with a flourish of golden light on either side that flipped up her tunic momentarily and revealed her flat silver stomach. She giggled as he greeted her.
"That's alright. I am your lost traveler, Rii, ready to be lead. Is there another light display on this tour, or was that a one time thing, mister Blade?" she asked, spreading forth her arms slightly to show she was waiting for him to go first. After all, he was the guide.

A string of electrically charged particles threaded down from her heart through the inner veins of her arms and zipped towards her fingertips like a cart on a downhill track. As Thell called out, Kadina examined the light of the particles stir like a nebula in the beds of her fingertips before they shot out like a tiny display of fireworks.
"Ready..." She clenched her hand. The charge left an uncomfortable numbness up and down her arm as if it had fallen asleep, but it didn't matter because she felt useful.
There wasn't time to waste, though her friends seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. Kadina punched an approaching zombie standing between her and the forest ahead. "Ha! I didn't even feel that!" she exclaimed, not arrogantly, but more surprised. She was discovering many perks to her strange ability. She shook her hand out as if to knock all the electricity back to her fingertips, then bent down and dipped two fingers in the purple blood around her. She smeared it on her cheek over her other face paint then saluted her friends with the same two fingers and fled for the forest with Thell and Vandir. A smirk of confidence and a look of determination occupied her face.

Upon entering the forest, Thell realized she didn't know what she was looking for, and she couldn't ask Vandir if he had any ideas, because he had flown away to distract the Guardian. The entire forest looked sickly and covered in diseased vines laced with purple veins thick and pulsing. It would be a tree, this she knew, a very special tree... The Guardians likely came from there, as they were meant to protect the source, right?
So maybe they could track where the Guardians had come from?
"I don't know if you saw, but we've got a Guardian following us, and there are... two left wherever the source is? I think? I don't think we can take on three all at once, just the two of us and Vandir, but-" She was cut off at the sound of something sliding on some sort of slick material. A wave of purple blood hit her, and she whirled around with widened eyes and realized that Vandir was flying straight towards her, the Guardian on his tail. From what she could tell in those few seconds, Vandir had been trying to lead the Guardian astray, and the Guardian and rammed into a tree during the chase, slicing a vein and spilling purple blood everywhere. Even now the Guardian was jumping onto a tree and using it as a springboard to shorten the distance between it and Thell's wooden dragon, cutting yet another vein and thickening the pool on the forest floor. It made contact with it on all fours, gracefully sliding towards Thell and Kadina with Vandir acting as the guide.
"I thought you were distracting him?" Thell shouted.
"An entire forest to be in and you happen to be in my way," Vandir hissed back, dodging a swift swipe of the Guardian's claws.
His retort told Thell one thing. She needed to stop blaming him for sucking at distractions and start killing the thing. Adjusting her grip on her beloved battle axe, Thell took a swing for the Guardian's outstretched purple arm, but quick as lightning he retracted his limb and slid away from her like a skilled dancer with bladed shoes on ice. Damn, he was quick, and from the way he bent at the knees and elbows and arched his back to avoid bushes and low branches, he was also extremely flexible.
(ooc: Feel free to control the Guardians at your wish. They are quick and flexible, and they are not bothered by gore and dirt. They have heightened senses, but they are not as strong as humans nor are they familiar with weapons. They are instinctual and feral, but organized in groups and skilled with leading zombies.)
