Thell frowned, knowing a bad attempt to save the party when she heard one. And Iona's was pretty bad. Either that or Thell had completely missed the actual meaning of Iona's words. One or the other. What does that really have to do with our new situation? Which, to be fair, was a tad random anyway. It seemed to feature a mysterious big bad that they were supposed to deliver to the strange girl - didn't sound like much of a fun slash-and-hack, a volcano - because Thell was such a big fan of things that could set you on fire, and the potential end of the world - Thell's favorite catastrophic event (this point and the last point were meant to be read with full sarcasm).
All this was supposed to be done with the group of people around her which included a probably still somewhat loopy Kadina, a guy Thell didn't recognize at all, an oddly melancholy but still eccentric Iona, and a passed out Eldrin. Oh, and that boy who tumbled out of the box. Which, now that she cast her good eye over to him to get a good look...
"Wind boy?" She marched over, reaching a hand out to ruffle his black hair... or, pet the part that was slicked back into his top knot, anyway. "How'd you end up in a box, little savior?" Vandir peered from over her shoulder, his long wooden tail curling gently around Thell's neck.

Na'ako grinned up at Patches as she petted him. It was an odd gesture, but the concept of it was appreciated. "I honestly don't remember. If I had to guess, I'd have to pin it down as kidnapping... which is a bit rude... but now I'm reunited with two of my new friends, so I guess I dont mind." The boy ignored the 'Wind Boy' conmment. It was technically incorrect, but he could see where the misconception arose from. His kae manipulation probably seemed quite similar to wind based powers from an outside perspective. In reality, he was displaying limited control of the force, kae, that bound all of creation. In the past year, he had read up on a similar concept discovered by Hylian mages and scientists. They called it 'gravity'. He hadn't really understood much of the science behind it, and his skill in reading the Hylian language was sub-par... but the dynamics of it seemed to align with the physical aspects of kae. However, to his people, kae was much more than physical. Kae was sort of the communal soul of all things, dead or alive. He would one day be the kaeti or 'shaman' of his tribe. This word, and kaero, the word for soul, were both derived from kae. They believed all things, from the sentient beings of this world, to the rocks on the ground, and even the planet itself, were all bound by and part of kae. Control over and understanding of kae was inherent to his people. Their hunters used it to guide arrows onto targets, and to bind their feet to cliffsides as they chased mountain goats. Their shamans tapped into kae to communicate with spirits of the dead. And their warriors manipulated kae in combat with lethal efficiency. However, these were difficult concepts to explain to outsiders, so if they understood it as wind control, or even gravity manipulation, it was fine by him.
Taal reappeared from the shadows of the trees, standing before the group where they sort of now mingled in Solace's absence. "Solace has asked me to guide you to your objective. My name is Taal, I am a forest spirit... or perhaps a forest demon, I've never given it much thought." The wolf creature spoke without speaking, just as Solace had, his gruff voice ringing through their heads. "I'll need a new form, however... most folk wouldn't react kindly to a giant wolf monster wandering through town. I can shape-shift into a human form, but to be honest, it's probably more disconcerting than this." The wolf explained, the tone of his voice seemed almost to be making excuses, as if he were attempting to explain his actions. Suddenly the wolf shifted form, but not into a human. His solid body suddenly became liquid, or at least close enough. It shifted into a mass of oil-like sludge, still colored in the white with black splashes of his wolf form. This form hovered for a moment, then lurched at Eldrin. It converged upon the unconscious thief's open mouth, and poured itself down his throat. The thief's body began to convulse violently. Its spasms grew intensity, his limbs contorted into bizarre angles. His joints popped out of and back into place as he whipped about madly. Finally, Eldrin's body settled back down, and lay silent for a moment.
When Eldrin's eyes snapped open, they were no longer red and gold, but the liquid black of Taal's. He stood, and stretched, each of his bones popping loudly, as if he hadn't moved in ages. When he spoke, it was Eldrin's voice, but devoid of the cheerful tone, and deeply more intense. "Don't worry, the courier is not dead, though he may be a bit sore when I'm through with his body." Now sufficiently disguised, Taal began to lead the group in the direction of Kakariko.
