Though Aaron Shields was quick to anger, rage rarely filled him as it did now. He took hold of Shizuo Orihara's neck and hated everything about him. He slammed up against the wall of his rather large apartment.
"You lied to me." He breathed, his voice dripping with venom. "Your uncle asked you to give me this information and it was incomplete."
"He didn't pay the full price. If I give you information for free, then everybody wants information for free." Aaron punched him across the face.
"Why did you leave out the human trafficking?" He asked.
"You asked about a yakuza gang. I thought you knew what you were getting into."
"If I knew I wouldn't need your worthless ass now tell me-" Aaron was cut off by the sudden ringing of his cell phone. He pinned Shizuo against the wall and answered it.
"I'm going to need you to let go now, Aaron." An older Japanese man requested.
"Not happening. I need answers and your nephew's my only lead." Aaron hung up and was quickly met with a swift blow to the throat. He dropped to all fours gasping for breath as Shizuo ran off. He was about to give chase when his phone rang again. "What?" He coughed.
"You cannot chase him, not now. If you run after him, he will never stop, and you will not get your information." The same elderly Japanese man ordered. "After an hour he will return to a rundown apartment in the Sengokuru district, about a mile from where you are now. If you arrive at the apartment on the left in forty-five minutes, everything will be in place."
"Alright, I'll give you this one for my dad's sake, but if you interrupt us again-"
"You need not worry. All of our needs will be met once this is over." He hung up. Aaron left the apartment building, suddenly very hungry. He left his wallet at home, but was able to steal some cash from Shizuo's thugs. He stopped at a cafe for ramen and grilled pork, and bought some caffeine pills from a drug store. After he popped a few, he went to Shizuo's safehouse. As the old man had said, everything was in place in the adjacent apartment. The back window had been broken to allow easy access. Inside, there was a hole in the wall just big enough for Aaron to fit through, placed behind a couch where no one could see it. There was also Aaron's favorite model of knife, A six-inch switchblade with a non-reflective coating. Aaron took the knife and put the old man's plan into action. Aaron pushed the couch with his legs and feet until he squeeze in, and moved it back into place. He did a quick examination of the safehouse. The entryway led into the living room, and had a broom closet halfway down it. One door down from the closet was the bathroom. The kitchen was to the right of the living room, and with the living room and bedroom formed a U around the bathroom and storage closet. Aaron decided to strike from this closet after Shizuo walked past. He popped his new knife and waited. In about five minutes, Shizuo unlocked the door. The floor was too dirty to remove his shoes, so he simply walked in, paying no attention to the open closet door. Aaron grabbed him from behind, putting his left arm over Shizuo's, and holding his right arm by the wrist. His right hand pressed the blade to Shizuo's throat.
"Fancy meeting you here." He whispered.
"Damn you." Shizuo grunted.
"No one's gonna save you this time, Shizuo, now tell me. Where do the Ogawa hide their girls?"
"Try harder, Shields." Shizuo said through gritted teeth.
"I do have something you'd like to know. It's about your uncle."
"What about him!" Shizuo yelled.
"Uh-uh, you first. Where?"
"A warehouse in the complex east of the docks. Someone like you could get in through a window on the north side. A bunch of old containers are stacked there. But they're always armed, heavily too. Enjoy getting filled with lead, asshole."
"If you lie to me about this, I'll kill you." Aaron threatened.
"Free information or not, I have a rep to protect. Now what about my uncle?" Shizuo asked desparately.
"Oh yeah, him. Apparently he's not much of a fan of yours anymore, seeing as how he helped me break into this dump. Last time he wanted to take someone down, he planted drugs in their residence. The cops will be here soon, so you'd best be on your way." Aaron advised. "Run fast and far enough, and you'll be able to go back to starting low-level gang wars and manipulating children."
"Thanks, Shields, I guess we're regular old pals now." Aaron released him, then spun him around and punched him again. He turned to leave.
"I don't want your thanks, you piece of shit." He slammed the door behind him and hurried home. It wasn't quite dark enough yet, and Aaron needed to get a few things. He hit the second speed dial on his phone. "Sokudo, this is Aaron. Take Takeda's van down to the warehouses east of the docks. Be discreet. Tell Takeda to get to my apartment as fast as he can. I'll be there in twenty."
"You got it." Sokudo replied. Aaron hung up and hurried home. He needed to pick up a few things.
"You lied to me." He breathed, his voice dripping with venom. "Your uncle asked you to give me this information and it was incomplete."
