Name: Tehk
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Race: Rito
Physical Description: Tehk is an average height for a Rito. His beak is bright yellow, and his head is predominantly black, though his eyes are ringed by white. His back, tail, and wings are all grey, while his wingtips are black. His breast is bright red from his collarbones down to his rump, which is white. His feet are a pale brown with black claws.
For clothing, he wears a functional outfit consisting of the standard leather chestpiece worn by Rito warriors, modified with extra storage capacity to suit his engagement style and other needs. The cloth portions are dyed a brighter, deeper red than his breast feathers. Finally, he has a set of goggles of his own design. Leather with blue lenses, and decorated with three white feathers similar to the headgear sold to tourists. Though Rito possess third eyelids, Tehk was always careful to preserve his eyes on adventures.
Weapons: Short elemental staves, one in each known offensive element (Fire, Ice, Shock). These staves have the benefit of keeping the air around him at a consistently comfortable temperature, though perhaps a bit warm for fellow Rito who are often accustomed to colder climes. Used properly, they allow him unparalleled flexibility in combat. Used improperly... Tehk has learned to bury his Shock Staff when the weather turns sour. For this, he also carries a small shovel with a properly honed edge. Not enough to shave with, but it will make firewood with little issue.
Though not weapons, his pack does contain a small set of archeological tools. A brush, a small bellows, a small sieve, and a notebook with a charcoal pencil for recording field notes.
Likes: Ancient ruins, studying ancient cultures, uneventful or "boring" adventures, seafood rice bowls
Dislikes: Improper archeological care, thunderstorms, clumsiness
Biography: In stark contrast to his keen mind and bookish pursuits, Tehk has always been something of a daredevil. From diving off the topmost point of the village, scoping out "haunted" caves with nothing but a torch and a sharp stick, to learning to ride a horse, a truly rare skill among Rito. Tehk was always looking for a challenge, especially if it allowed him to discover something more about the world. That yearning for thrills meant that even after he started spending a good chunk of time in his room reading books on the history of Hyrule, his parents weren't at all surprised to learn that he wished to become a warrior. Tehk trained under Kal for a few years, but left on his own terms after his first tour was up, eager to apply what he'd learned about survival and combat in the field of his new passion: archeology. Tehk had resolved to not be another helpless and hapless researcher cowering in fear as the monsters stalking their land trod over ancient sites with their bumbling footsteps. With the skills to stop them, he took off on his adventures and hasn't looked back.
Recently, Tehk's passions have turned more and more towards book research, as he began to cross-reference passages between old tomes that he believes point towards one of the biggest discoveries Hyrule would ever see. To him, the adventure of a lifetime awaits right under his beak, and the next book could be just what he needs to find the big lead he's been waiting for.
