Dalphenes gave a small smile to Oarashi. "So..you are the Sea Dragon I've been hearing about. Dalphenes said, extending his arm to the furniture that was in front of him as a gesture to sit if they so wished.
"Greetings Lien and Oarashi." Torak said, raising an arm in a greeting gesture.

"So word of my presence has been annouced? Interesting." Oarashi spoke to himself.
Lien shook his head. "It's fine. . . I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Are you planning to take on Lord Ganon's forces?"

A woman, dressed as any noblewoman, serenely strode down the hallway, wearing a large crimson cloak. Her beautiful tresses of wild auburn and brown hair was tied back and held in a net of spun gold and gems and she wore a beautiful gown of the latest fashion in a rich rust color. She ignored the guards astonished glances, as she was a far cry from plain, but also because there was work to be done. Although her hand was visible, the other was hidden in the folds of her cloak, and held a wicked-looking yet extremely light crossbow. Barbed shafts were in a pouch tied to her thigh under her dress. Strange tattoos of elaborate red wings were inked at the corners of her eyes.
In the courtyard, the wounded man, awakening from his faint, struggled feebly to get his head out of the water, his arms madly grasping for some sort of hold and his legs kicking. Then a hand seized him by his collar and yanked him out of the water savagely. "Hallo,"said the man, who was exceedingly plain, but suddenly strangely handsome as a malicious smile broke over his face. The man gasped and spat out water, groaning in between pants as his wound agonized him. "Seleus Nikator. Attikus. Attikus Seleus Nikator. The warrior assassin. What brings you to this cesspool of trangression? Hm?" the other man questioned.
Attikus didn't say anything, partially out of pain, but mostly out of refusal, his one light green and dark green eyes blazing defiantly back at the thief. The man chuckled, then seized the barbed arrow in Attikus's side and twisted it savagely, earning a cry from his wounded quarry. He smiled thinly. "Wrong answer."
....................................................
"It is a delicate matter, you see, the gravity of which leaves us at a loss as to what to do next. We cannot target Hverna Galla, or Ganon without the other retaliating. But we need to get between them. Or rather, between them and you, Irene. Hverna Galla has an organization as vast and discreet to that of the Legion's caliber. Any foreign ambassador or nobleman you or the king speaks to can be her connection to get to you," Klaus explained, standing in front of the seated queen, pacing with a thin pointer stick behind him. The scene was more reminiscent to a tutor and student than masterthief and queen.
The queen leaned back in her seat, a troubled frown settling upon her face. "What does this witch queen want with Hyrule? Why Hyrule and not another kingdom?" she asked thoughtfully. Klaus turned to the massive world map behind him, tapping on the huge expanse of various lands called Svaria, which lay to the far northeast. "Svaria is a vast land, although most the area to the east is just as that of the Snowhead Region." He moved the pointer other, dragging it along until it was in the midwest of the lands. "This is where they orginated. The lands here," he moved the stick all over the different climes of the huge region, "is all in Svaria's possession." The queen scowled, but said nothing.
"Take a different approach, a perspective from the outside in. Hyrule is a large land, relatively unknown to Auria, not too densely populated. Lots of resources. Ganon is simply a means to get to Hyrule and take it. Ganon would be reduced to nothing but a puppet to the Svarians. Once Hyrule is taken, Svaria would have the provisions to launch an attack on the rest of the known world, Auria, mostly," Klaus said and paused to let the information sink. "The problem is in to take the two down without having the other having the means to attack." The queen brightened.
"Then we have plenty of time to gather our elite fighters to do so. Then, then Hverna Galla wouldn't be a problem. And neither would Ganon, once you use the Elite Three or Noble Five. Even the Eight of Nine," she exclaimed, nearly shooting out of her chair in excitement. Klaus smiled grimly and shook his head. "Not when they depart from Svaria to Hyrule within the week." The smile slipped from the queen's face as if she was slapped.

(I had to remind myself that none of the characters know of Ganon being the holder of the Triforce of Power)
Dalphenes shook his head. "At the moment...an attack on Ganon would be like signing our own death warrants..Torak and I were simply discussing of the Legion...they claim to be able to slay Ganon. But...outside of the Royal Family and it's close allies...only those who have been chosen by the Goddesses as 'Heroes' hold the courage and strength to kill him."
"And we hope they don't find the identity of the only known hero...save for the Hero of Time." Torak muttered, grabbing a glass and pouring himself some of the King's champagne.

"Those chosen by the Goddesses? I believe I have heard of it. . . but I could be wrong. . . besides, how would we know who are the chosen ones? I know full well about Artie's mark, but his and that of the Hero of Time are quite obivious. How will we ever expect to find the 'Heroes' to help us fight back Ganon's forces?" Lien frowned, watching as Torak helped himself to some champagne. Normally he would have requested for some rum, but no doubt the king had any rum anyways.
"Perhaps they could be standing among us." Oarashi spoke softly, but enough to be heard at least.

Torak looked up and grinned "It's not me...I'm not the hero type."
"Artie is the only one that we know of...we must hold that information close to us.."

"Oarashi is right. . . Besides Torak, the Hero or Time looked nothing like one would picture a Hero. . . Heck he came from the Kokiri Forest with just a simple life. It could be because we're not searching hard enough."
"A battle between the tribes would be meaningless no doubt." Oarashi murmured.
At first, Lien just stared at Oarashi, wondering why on earth he was suggesting a war, but then it occured to him that he had meant a tournament. "You're right, we can't have a tournament. . . Ganon would know something ii going on."

"We could set up a special task force dedicated to tracking down these heroes..."Torak suggested, his mind was somewhere else as he sipped a bit of the champagne and turned his attention back towards Dalphenes and Lien.
"I wonder... The King stroked his graying beard, he looked over at Eldrin and then to Torak. "If it were possible for one with the mark to be able to sense the presence of another with a mark of the Goddesses.."
Torak's head perked up and he looked over at the King, his yellow wolf eyes sparked an idea. "Artie...he is also a shape shifter...his other form is that of a Timber Wolf...he may be cursed as a werewolf. And he's been searching for a year to cure himself..." Torak stood up and strode over to stand between Dalphenes and Lien. "What are you getting at?"
"I'm saying...if my sources are correct...Artie is currently in the Woodfall region of Termina...seeking out The Hag..." Torak grinned underneath his hood.
"The Hag...that is one name I havn't heard in ages..." Dalphenes mumbled, looking at Torak.
"And call me crazy...but, I believe the mysterious man known to us as The Happy Mask Salesman...might be involved with Artie seeking out The Hag." Torak said, finishing the glass of champagne in his hand.

"The creepy mask guy?" Eldrin asked, more rhetorrically then anything else. He picked up the smiling Purloined Mask that hung from his collar by a piece of twine and put it on, securing it with the same twine. "Weird guy... The kind of guy who knows you're stealin' from him, but he doesn't stop you. He makes sure you know he knows, but he doesn't say it outright. Instead he does somethin' like making eye contact with you just when you think you've gotten away with it and winking." Eldrin shivered and shook his head vigorously.
"So, should we head to Woodfall Region and find Artie?" He asked Dalphenes. "Well... Not that you can officially order us to... Seeing as Termina is a foreign country." Eldrin muttered trailing off. He walked around the office slowly, picking up and examining random objects. "But, you can suggest that we go..." He said, winking at the king as he slipped a solid gold paperweight into his bag.

Torak placed the champagne glass back on the table and looked over at the King to see what he would say.
The King looked over at Eldrin and said "Seeing as how you have been allied with this Artie...I wouldn't...stop you if you were to travel to Woodfall to find him.." Dalphenes said, ending with a wink.
"In any case..I have business else where." Torak said, standing up and bowing his head to Dalphenes.
"I'll be back if I find anything else out." Torak said, before heading out the door.

Lien shook his head as he noticed Eldrin acting a bit shady as he was obviously silpping something in his bag, but made no comment since it appeared the King knew already what the boy was doing. "I'll tag along with Eldrin as well to go find Artie. Besides I have nothing else better to do. . Except of course listen to the Sea Chief talk my ear off." He shot a look over his shoulder at Oarashi. The naive Sea Dragon just shrugged.

"Perhaps I should mention to Eldrin that he just swiped Dodongo dung..." The King whispered to Lien.

"Nah, let him figure it out." Lien whispered back, smirking in amusement. Then straighten up and loudly spoke. "Well, it's settled then we shall attempt to find Artie so he can aid us in finding the heroes. Who knows, perhaps we'll come across them ourselves on our journey."

"Right, let's get going!" Eldrin cried, grinning wildly. He walked calmly over to the window and, after much fumbling with the lock, threw it open. He spun around and faced the king, prince and chief. "Come Lien, we're to be off! Your Majesty, it has been lovely to make your acquaintance... Perhaps you will remember this at my next hanging?" He asked, though he expected no answer.
Then he paused, sniffing the air. "Do you smell someth-" Suddenly his words were cut off as he tripped and tumbled out the window.

Oarashi just watched in horror as the Thief fell right out of the window, but Lien just simply facepalmed. "Flipping idiot. . . He's fine Oarashi, that thick skull of his will protect whatever wits he has. . ." He assured Oarashi as he proceed to the window. "If he HAS any wits left Well anyways, it was pleasure seeing you again even though it time was short, King Dalphenes."
With a short bow towards the king, Lien climbed out of the window followed by Oarashi, who turned and closed the window in courtesy, before disappearing out of sight.
[EXIT LIEN AND OARASHI]
