A lone guard patroled the corridors, he was fresh out of training and this was his first assignment. He was anxious to prove himself to the higher ups and his armor clanked as he paced the corrider.
Torak watched the young man from a behind some crates "Seems like a rookie...no experienced guard would smirk like that.." Torak thought.
He took a step out and the rookie wheeled around and pointed his spear...he stunk of fear and excitement as he moved towards the Master Assassin. "What is your name?!" he stammard.
"Rookies..."he muttered as his hidden blade shot out of it's hiding place.
The rookie gulped and he started to shake in his armor, it rattled as he froze in place. Torak made his move and dashed at the rookie, grabbing his throat with his free hand and whispered in his ear "Boo..."
The rookie made a yelp as Torak dropped him, weapons were discarded as he ran for his life. Torak grinned until he looked down and noticed a small puddle of urine. "Why do they always piss themselves.." Torak muttered, his hidden blade retracted.
Torak looked to his right and noticed a door, he moved forward...slowly and silently. The door made a small noise as he opened it and moved forward, a man was sitting at the desk. He looked up and turned around, dagger in hand. He lowered it as he noticed the identity of the intruder.
"I should have suspected that was you scaring the rookie." Dalphenes said, standing up and placing the dagger down.
"You know me all too well, brother." Torak grinned as he took a seat on the nearby couch that was in the room. Dalphenes grinned as he took a seat on the chair opposite of the couch. "I suppose you have other business here than scaring the daylights out of the rookie guards, Torak?"
Dalphenes grabbed two glasses and started to pour wine into them.
"Like I said...you know me too well...no use beating around the bush...I came to talk about...The Legion.."

The door opened with a warm grind of the hinges and a clank and clack of the heavy iron handle. A woman, with only a touch of age marring her flawless and beautiful face, slipped in with a youthful step and regal mein that was eternally emprinted upon her natural bearing. The woman could be stepping in front of a court or into an empty room as she did now, such was the gravity of her majesty.
Closing the door behind her silently, the woman, dressed in a light and free moving light purple and pale gold dress and a mighty and large, yet ornately daintily built diadem. But despite her evident wealth and power, the woman was world-weary, slight, pale circles under her eyes. Coming to lay her slender, graceful hand on the back of a chair, a large fire in the fireplace crackled. Her vibrant hazel eyes shut in a moment's repose.
In the dim edges of shady darkness the warm firelight could not reach, a limb of which moved in the corner. The woman's eyes opened serenely and with a clack of hoofs, a small goat leapt from the dim grayness, bleating in greeting softly. He was dressed in a prim and immaculate black suit, tailored to his form perfectly, complete with a red bow tie. The woman burst out with delighted laughing, the sound not dissimilar to that of the sweet peals of bells.
"You never cease to amuse me, Klaus," she said, her face bright as if with sunshine, making her all the more beautiful. A limb of the mottled darkness moved once more, coming forth into the light, a middle aged man revealed to be wearing a mottled, camoflouged cloak. He bowed at waist, a wry grin spreading across his chisled and fine features. His eyes were like pieces of glinting ice, even in such forgiving light.
"All the more reason to meet with you more often. You hardly seem yourself, Irene," Klaus told the Queen of Hyrule softly, for once, his glacial colored eyes soft with evident friendship for a trusted and beloved friend, a rarity among the master of thieves.

Dalphenes froze when Torak mention The Legion, he looked up at the Master Assassin with a look of concern on his face. "I assume you met with them sometime recently?" Dalphenes asked, straightening himself. "Just a few hours ago actually...I happened to rescue one of their members who was looking for me." Torak explained.
"I suppose the Zora was right behind her?" Dalphenes asked...knowing the answer.
Torak nodded "There was. I allowed them entry into our safehouse in the market and allowed them to explain. They told me they already spoke to you and the Queen...and you both hold very different views on them..." Torak said, picking up one of the tarts that the King had on the table and eating it.
Dalphenes gave a sigh and stood up, he placed his hands behind his back. "Irene fully believes them...and how they plan to kill Ganondorf. We all fully know well that only thing capable of harming the Gerudo King is the Master Sword...which can only be wielded by the Hero of Time or others who are worthy of bearing the title of 'Hero'." Dalphenes explained.
"And what are your thoughts on this band of thieves?"
"I believe they have...other desires...more dark and sinister ones...even they cannot be fools enough to try to attack Ganon without the Hero on their side.."

Eldrin was wandering down the halls of Hyrule Castle, humming cheerfully, when suddenly he was nearly ran over by a crazy guard charging down the hallway. Eldrin jumped frantically out of the way and stared as the strange man ran passed him and around the corner. "Hm... That can only mean one of two things: Either Ganon has come to kill us all... Or King Daphenes is wearing his robe open." He shuddered at the last thought.
"Or Torak... He does that frequently... Likes to see them squeal. Or perhaps he pissed off Mike! Or woke up Iona..." He pointed out.
"I didn't ask your opinion! Plus, why would Iona be asleep in Hyrule Castle? And has Mike even recovered from his injuries yet... Can he even recover?" Eldrin responded a little sad at the thought of Mike's injuries. He wasn't very saddened by it because, in his opinion, at least Mike was still alive. No matter what he lost, as long as he survived it didn't matter.
"Why would Iona be asleep in any of the other places I've found her? I think she's narcoleptic." The thief replied.
Eldrin didn't get a chance to answer, because he was suddenly distracted by a small splash at his feet. He looked down at the small puddle of golden liquid his foot was now in. Curiously, Eldrin bent over and, remembering what Ayishe taught him about never smelling unidentified potions and chemicals directly, took a huge whiff, inhaling the fumes deeply.
"AAAAAAAAGH!!! PEE!!!" The thief screamed gagging and jumping out of the puddle. He ran down the hallway screaming and burst through a doorway, gasping for air. Ignoring everything else, he charged across the room and thrust his head out the window. Unfortunately, Eldrin had forgotten that windows typically had glass... And instead of thrusting his head out the window, he thrust his head into the window. The thief stumbled backward, dazed and temporarily blinded. As his vision returned he stared aaround the room and saw the two men who had been talking. "Told ya!" He cried, pointing at Torak.
"Shut up!" He snapped back. He turned his attention to Daphenes with a mischevious smile. "Hey, Daph! Long time no see! Well... long time for you... I saw you last night... You sleep funny, ya know that?" He said, sitting on the desk and putting his legs up on the arm of the king's chair. "So what'cha guys talkin' 'bout?" He asked, downing the contents of a fancy shotglass on the king's desk.

High in the castle, a young blonde woman readied herself for bed, oblivious to the assassins and thieves lurking about the castle this night. As she prepared, a statue of metal formed behind her, taking whatever shape she pleased. On the wall closest to the shifting metal shape was a full suit of silvery light armor and a halberd. The armor was trimmed with a gold that was a more vibrant shade of the color of her hair. She closed her eyes and lost herself in the forming of the statue. It was a curious subset of alchemy that formed metal without force or fire, one that she had always been good at. She continued to warp and twist the iron in her mind, losing herself in it's contorted structure when she heard a knock at her window. She turned to see a familiar shape standing atop a pillar of black mass. She unlatched the window and Faro stepped soundlessly into her bedroom. They threw their arms around one another and kissed passionately.
"I haven't seen you around in a while." She whispered. Her voiced was smoky and seductive, in fitting with her beautiful figure.
"I've been busy." Faro replied. The woman pulled her lips from his and opened her eyes.
"You haven't been killing for Ganon have you?" She asked. Faro couldn't say no. In their most recent time apart, he had performed two assassinations.
"I'm sorry, but it was unavoidable. I also had to recon a Dragonian force with some others. They're getting more bold, you need to be ready in the event of a Dragon invasion." Faro explained, apologetically at first, but by the end, it sounded more like a debriefing. There was a pause, then the woman laughed back at him.
"You need to take more time for yourself." She said. She led him over to the bed, and sat him down on the edge. "More time for us." She pushed him over, and layed over him, pressing her lips to his.

Dalphenes watched Eldrin with a raised eyebrow as he bursted into the room, yelled "TOLD YA!!!!" and pointed at Torak. Then proceeded to down one of the forgotten drinks.
"Do you..." The King started to say.
"Unfortunatly...yes...I do know him...don't worry...he's mostly harmless." Torak said, watching Eldrin help himself to their forgotten drinks.
The Master Assassin turned his head back to the King. "Saying that slaying Ganon was their intention...and they need one who is worthy of being called 'Hero' to wield the Master Sword and slay him...and the Hero of Time has gone AWOL with your daughter for reasons unknown to us currently....let us just hope they have not discovered about Artie.."
"Artie?" Dalphenes asked, turning back to face Torak with some interest.
"Yes...he's gone through some...changes...last I've heard. But, one thing I do know...he holds the mark of the Goddesses...yet does not carry a Triforce piece." Torak explained.
"Yes...it has been foretold that those with the Goddesses mark on the back of their hands appear once in a while...yet are not bearers of the Sacred Relic...these individuals seem to be chosen by the Gods as heroes and protectors of Hyrule..this..Artie..I believe he's engaged to Talon's daughter...Malon."

"You don't remember me?" Eldrin asked, his pride hurt. "You've had me hung like six times... Or was it seven? Eh, who's countin'?" He said, laughing as he finished his second glass of wine and put it next to the empty shot and wine glasses. Of course, to Eldrin, it wasn't plausible that anyone could not remember him. He simply decided that the king must be too shy to admit that he'd been secretly admiring the thief... Eldrin couldn't blame him though, as he was his own favorite person. "Eight..." He grumbled, serious suddenly.
Then, as the conversation resumed he forgot the king's transgression and became engrossed in the talk of Artie and heroes. At the mention of the mark he instinctively reached back and felt the spot between his shoulder blades where he would some day bear a very different mark of the Goddesses. Ayishe's curse would not end with her death, but rather pass on to the person closest to her. He wondered what legends said about the bearers of that mark.
"So you guys think that Artie can kill pigface? Then why don't we act? With all your royal resources you could easily procure a cure for Artie's affliction, right? Then we, the Assassins and the Rebels, could stage an infiltration of Ganondork's castle and Artie could battle the big pork-chop while the rest of us held off his minions... Which there are plenty of. Azrael can combat Nadeana and her soul swapping abilities. I can fight Faro's fire with my own, though I'd rather not seeing as I've formed something close to a friendship with him. And if we fail, none of it would be pinned back to you. So Ganon couldn't retaliate... I'm just saying, if you don't think the Legion can, or even wants too, then why not do it ourselves so we never have to give them a chance?" Eldrin stopped talking and stared pleasantly between the two older men. He already anticipated the inevitable and logical rejection of his idea. More mature men were never as reckless as they should be. As they gained wisdom they lost the brash instincts of youth, and were blinded to the value of such qualities.

(XD YAY! I’m not the only one to call him Ganondork!)
Lien and Oarashi had been walking in a narrow, dark corridor inside of the Hyrule Castle instead of the main Castle’s hallways to avoid getting the attention of the Hyrulian guards or nobles currently visiting the castle. Since that scuffle outside of Hyrule Town with the Dragonian Forces trying to invade Hyrule, Lien was sure that everyone would be suspicious of the young prince. After all, his tribe had terrorized the people of Hyrule for so many years, he was almost sure that there will never be peace between the Hylains and the Dragons, but it wouldn’t help to try anyways.
Silently, Lien just pondered if the King of Hyrule will be a bit distrusting to the boy even slightly as he lead Oarashi up the slightly elevated pathway with the orb of fire in his hand. The spell gave off a bright glow from its perfectly round sphere shape, so the two were able to see a good distance down the hallway from where they were. As for the young sea dragon, he was rather fascinated by the perfectly cut and fitted stone bricks used to form not only Hyrule Castle, but the very hallway they were passing through. In fact he was rather surprised that every house or building he saw was made by either brick or wood. No whale rib-bone support beams, thatch walls, or dried palm fronds for roofing. Wood was extremely hard to have wash up to shore and rocks were nonexistent to the islanders let alone if there were rocks, they lacked the tools to cut stone anyways.
”If you stopped sight-seeing, I’m sure we will be there sooner.” Lien muttered as he watched Oarashi stopped to examine the growing moss in the niche and cracks of the stones from the moisture in the air.
Oarashi perked up, ”How much longer until we get to his study?” Oarashi fell quiet as a muffled scream was heard before fading off still screaming what both dragons thought was the word ‘pee’.
Lien shook his head, having an idea whose voice it was. “It’s not that far, just up these steps and we should be in his study room. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eldrin is there.” he chuckled.
”Wait, that was who it was?”Oarashi inquire. The Dragon prince nodded as he came to a small staircase. It only spiraled up barely in a 180 degree turn, but the steps were so narrow and tall to fit inside the Castle’s structure, Oarashi felt claustrophobic. At least Artof’s castle was larger than this, Oarashi thought, but snapped to attention as he watched Lien dispel the orb, leaving them in complete darkness as Lien knocked on the wooden door to the King’s study room.

Both Dalphenes and Torak listened to Eldrin reveal his plan and the King and Assassin both gave each other a glance and then Torak turned his head back to Eldrin. "Very good plan...reckless...but nonetheless good...although for something like that to work without breaking any rules...Ganondorf would need to launch a raid on us..or we get wind of it before hand...that still leaves the location of Artie.."
A knock was heard at the door and Dalphenes strode to the door, opening it and saying "Yes?"

As soon as the door opened, Lien quickly slipped off his dragon hood to show the King who he was before giving a 'bow and scrape' to Dalphenes (This is a bow and scrape upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/38/Wenceslas_Hollar_-_The_bowing_gentleman_%28State_2%29.jpg ) before straighten up. "I'm sorry to intrude on your meeting, but with your premission, we may come in?"Oarashi on the other hand, was about to give a formal bow to Dalphenes like he always does, but Lien nudged Oarashi's side before he could. "I'm sorry." he murmured quickly, looking away.

Several minutes later, the queen and the thief and finished their pleasantries, and were in the thick of discussing business matters, as a queen, she had her queenly duties and he his thievery to be had. The queen sat on a prim but ornate chair at a scholarly and massive desk. Klaus took his seat in the plush armchairs in front of the desk, Noodles the goat seated upon the other chair, gnawing on the armrest.
"I love this land, but they hold no faith in their queen. I am simply the king's wife to them, made to set charity balls and look pretty. The king is the one they love, and I but the woman who is mother to Princess Zelda," she told him rather bitterly, but her tone softening as she mentioned her daughter. Klaus nodded sagely. "Yet, I have my own resevoir of power in my own right. My connections to that in Auria and Mycenlaea are excellent and strong, support for when Ganon dares to rise up once more. This time, I will not let my husband pine and hide. We will have the strength of an entire world behind us," she said, her eyes glittering with the hatred of the beast who had taken her daughter from her.
Klaus leaned back, crossing his leg at the ankle over the knee of his other leg, swishing the brandy in his crystal glass thoughtfully, letting the queen stew in a moment of silence. "Your love for this land is great, a love like that of a mother for her child. It is a shame that you don't hold the same power as that of the king. Queen Islacella and King Luxoros of Aeslanaria rule together as one, and together carry out the empire's Golden Age. Such could be in store for Hyrule," he exclaimed mildly. The queen kept her peace, staring down at her seal ring.
Klaus suddenly stood up and set to pacing, the queen's sharp and bright eyes following him shrewdly. "As you know, the extent of the Legion's hold over Ganon is going to be strong. We simply need to set it in play. The Midsummer Festival will remedy that. But it should be known that our plan for him is simply the tip of the iceberg, child's play, at best. Our reports have found him to have connections to Hvenra Galla; the Black Queen of Svaria," he said, his brow drawn low in thought. The queen frowned, muttering the name.
"Hverna Galla...that translates more in relation to Black Witch than queen. What does this Black Queen and Svaria has to do with my kingdom of Hyrule?"Her face was tight in concentration and concern. "Simply a witch no more. Hverna Galla is now queen of the eastern empire of Svaria, a terror in every right. She a nightmare of Ganon's caliber, more so because of her influence and power. An adept in black magics and the dead rituals of the necroafilia, she is seemingly unstoppable...and has set her sights on Hyrule."
The queen swore vehemently and vividly, blotches of red appearing on her chalk white face, tight with rage. She snatched the bottle up and downed the rest of it, shaking her head against the punch of the alcohol, several locks of her falling from her immaculate bun. Her diadem was now crooked on her head. "What must I do? She must be stopped. I will stop her," she said, her eyes wild and holding a crazed light to them. As an adept of light magic and all things pretaining to divine energy, Queen Irene was a genius in her own right, having passed such knowledge to Zelda. Klaus stopped pacing and sighed, crossing his arms and spilling everything he knew.
....................................................
Stumbling on over into the garden, the man's cloak hood fell as he swayed, clutching his side, blood oozing between his fingers. His face glinted with sweat and the moonlight illuminated his dusky skin softly, making the blood from the barbed shaft in his side look black. He stumbled, unconsciousness just a blink away, and fell, senseless, in the the moat of sparkling clear water, his blood tainting the slow moving water in languid swirls. The curtain of the window above the moat shifted as another person silently closed the window and swiftly vanished from sight, tucking the crossbow the individual held, the bow still quivering slightly, back into the folds of their own cloak.

Lien nodded his thanks as he and Oarashi walked inside, watching at the king closed the door once they were inside the study. "I'm here to apoligize on behalf of the . . . recent attack that had happened in Hyrule field. . . I hadn't known about the attack at all until the very last second."

Eldrin stared out the window, watching the moon reflecting on the surface of the moat. The slow current mildly distorted the image, but it was still recognizable. Then gradually, the water changed. The moon was consumed by something dark, a cloud he assumed.
Eldrin was far from supersticious, but he spent much time among criminals and the lower classes. Society's dirty underbelly, the street urchins that the nobility liked to pretend didn't exist. These were highly supersticious people. They believed almost anything unsual to be an omen and that every event, good or bad, was a result to their response to said omen. Eldrin wondered what they would say about this. Of course, he too believed that everything happened for a reason. But he believed in more direct connections. For instance, if someone would have hired him to kill Dalphenes, and he tried to kill him now, Torak would no doubt kill him in order to save Dalphenes. Then his body would be taken off to be disposed of, and some undertaker would take his Avarice and keep it for himself. Avarice would become a family heirloom of a long line of undertakers because the king accidentally offended somebody some time back. That was Eldrin's view on everything happening for a reason.
Eldrin turned away from the window as he heard Prince Lien's voice. "LIEN!! O- Um... Orarasha-something..." Eldrin screwed his face up in concentration as he tried to remember Oarashi's name. "Omarsashi? Odarashi? Odorshini? Oarsamashikini? Fred? Oarlaaaaashufrumpikins? Oarararsashimi?" He said, no longer guessing but rather making up words.

The young sea dragon frown, listening to Eldrin trying to remember his name. "Oarashi, Eldrin . . . Oarashi Hòseki, son of Chief Sagi and Izumi Hòseki as well as the next Chief of SeaWind Ilse. . . " Oarashi spoke, addressing the last part of his sentence to Daphenes, nodding his head to him.
