A lone figure in a dark cloak stood atop a flat-roofed guard tower, the cloak making the only noise in the dead of the night. The two guards that were inhabiting the lookout perch laid in a puddle of blood and ink, however, they were still faintly breathing, alive.
Light emanated from the torches placed periodically around and within the castle, and dark shadows paced back and forth.
The figure, with one hand, drew out the black scroll from its holster on his back. With a flick of his hand, the scroll flew open and laid neatly on the ground. He drew his paintbrush from his pouch and began to draw, quickly but neatly.
The light from the torches flickered over his face, revealing his pale white skin, and crimson eyes. With a final dash of ink, he put his brush away, and with one hand made a small hand sign. Both his middle and forefinger were pointed straight into the air, and his thumb was bent, pressed up against the side of his hand. With a twist of his wrist, the ink began to rise off of the page. A black serpent rose and hissed, ink spewing like venom from it's mouth. A second creature began to arise as well. This was a hawk, only just big enough to fly in and out of the castle's windows.
The bird wrapped it's inky talons around the snake's black hide and leaped off the roof, diving until it spread it's wings and glided into the nearest window, where it released the serpent, which quickly slithered down the corridor, out of the sight of the pasty artist.
The hawk returned, and swiftly dove back into the small glass container of ink, restoring it's contents to near full. The man rolled up the scroll and stowed it behind his back, and sat back to wait.
The snake returned in only a few minutes, although he was noticeably larger. "I would have thought more of the security from Hyrule Castle," The figure said aloud. "My snake should not have been able to get in and out of that castle in under half an hour." The snake unhinged it's jaw and spat out a long golden scepter, the quickly returned to it's creator's ink jar. "Well if it's this easy to steal from this castle, I might as well take everything in the treasury."
The artist drew his saber and held it up, blocking the oncoming blow of an opponent. The opponent was obviously a guard, but was slightly different, the thief noticed. He wasn't wearing a typical Hylian guard uniform, and the sword was not standard issue.
Noticing the analyzing gaze, the guard explained himself. "I am Regic, and no, I am not of the Hylian Guard. But I do demand that you give up the scepter."
"Interesting. I'm Imahe, and yet, I have no plans of giving up this scepter."
"Then I'm afraid force becomes necessary."
Imahe laughed, and sheathed the scepter and the saber. He then reached both hands behind his back. One hand grabbed his paintbrush, while the other grabbed the black scroll.
Regic slashed, and Imahe evaded, dodging to the left. Regic ducked down and feinted a low kick, turning his momentum into a swipe of his sword with inhuman speed.
Imahe jumped to avoid the kick and with his left foot pushed off of Regic's large chest, propelling him backward off of the roof.
As he fell, the scroll opened and his hand sped across the page, quickly releasing a large eagle that flew under him and caught his fall, sweeping low across the ground then rocketing into the sky.
Regic roared, "Red Alert! Everyone, After that man!"
Imahe chuckled as the large oaf leapt from the castle, rolled to his feet and began to sprint after the precious scepter. "Come and try me."

Before Imahe had the chance to finish his sentence, a huge ball of fire blasted right through the ink eagle's wing, detaching part of the limb from the main body. Down from below, the young dragon boy Lien also took pursuit of the thief from just outside of Hyrule Castle's wall, just having seen Imahe trying to escape the castle. As he followed to try to catch up, Lien summoned another orb of blazing fire to his gloved palm before hurling the spell right at the ink eagle again, hoping to fall the enchanted ink and the thief out of the sky.

The eagle shuddered and dropped suddenly. Imahe jumped and rolled off catching his footing quickly and sprinting away, his ink splattering across the ground sloppily, this time without returning to his ink jar.
From his back he pulled out his red scroll and unrolled it in a single flick. While still running he managed to pull out his paint balls and draw 2 small balls with feet and a fuse. They jumped off the page and trotted slowly in the way of the two oncoming attackers.
Regic ran after him, keeping speed with the theif. All of a sudden a small ball hopped out in front of him and produced a large explosion. Regic's arms came up to protect his face, but it did little to protect him. He was knocked off his feet and cuts ran up and down his arms.

Hearing the explosion, Lien's blood ran just slightly cold, not sure what to make of where the explosion had came from as he continue to race down the back alley-ways of the Hyrulean town. Then a tiny black orb waltz right around the corner a ways off, a fuse sizzling away madly in an attempt to detonate early. Sparing no second thought, Lien quickly summoned his dragon wings. Magically the black-skinned limbs spouted from his shoulder blades as he stopped to crouch before jumping into the air, beating his wings powerfully in an attempt to gain altitude and space between him and the bomb.
Yet he didn't flew high enough.
The ink bomb detonated into a heavy shock-wave of ink and flying wood shrapnel that managed to break off from the explosion. The air pressure knocked the dragon prince out of the air as he crash-landed into a painful somersault onto the dirt with a loud thud as the wooden pieces rained around him. Regaining his senses, Lien pushed himself off the floor with an arm and shook his head as he couldn't see straight, groaning. Then a familiar figure in blue came to his side, wrapping both hands securely around Lien's bicep before yanking him up to his feet. "Lien! Lien you OK?"
"I'm fine! Fine, Come on Oarashi, we need to get that bastard." Lien hissed, feeling his chest and shoulder ache from the landing. Making his dragon wings disappear, he charged on ahead to trail the thief, the young sea chief Oarashi running closely behind him.

Imahe merely smirked as he continued to run, stowing his paintbrush and scroll back in their respective holsters.
Regic rolled upright using his feet. His arms seared with pain. If I can't use my sword, how am i supposed to retrieve the scepter? he asked himself silently. He began to run again, attempting to assess the situation.

It was a slow night, the air still and heavy. It was late, more near to morning than it was night, and there was little to be had or done. An ever growling stomach and the consequence of constant napping kept a certain gold clad Gerudo awake, every now and then tossing and turning on her tree limb as she fought to sleep. She was to raid the castle's kitchens at dawn, when all the servants and cooks were to busy to notice stray ringed fingers snatching up the odd scone or one of those delicious concoctions of a biscuit with egg and ham in between. The mere thought of it sent her stomach into indignant protest in its lack of food.
The sound of running feet met Iona's ears and she started up, then crawled forward on the tree limb with languid grace to where she could hear better, shrinking back slightly as a dark cloaked man ran swiftly on over, several sheaths of sorts holstered to his belt, the sound of their clanking hitting her finely tuned ears, the sweet sound of valuables! Valuables meant value, which became the potential of a good price, which instilled profit, and therefore money, which equated to the best prize of all...food!! Iona's amber eyes widened and she clapped her hands quietly at the prospect gleefully.
She paused, her keen eyes zeroing in on what appeared to be a golden stick. A golden stick?! How wonderful would it be, to roam around with a golden stick?! She sighed, imagining her already ridiculously excessive adornments of precious gems and gold to be so charmingly accessorized with a golden stick. It must be hers! She froze, then warily watched with narrowed eyes.
Two more men ran after the cloaked man, and despite their strange appearances, they fell from her mental radar. A third man followed them up from behind a short distance and she leapt from the tree, landing on her feet, causing a din-like ruckus. Iona waited a moment as she let the man pass, interested in only the strange cuts that where on his arms. She smiled as she weighed in the situation, deducing that all three men where after the man with the golden stick...and now so was she. "Delicious," she said, rubbing her palms together and taking off in a brisk run after the man, as if she had been running behind them all along.

Imahe noticed the fourth follower tag along. "The more the merrier!" He called out in a strangely monotone voice, as if he wasn't frightened or aroused by the chase at all.
He retrieved his ink jar as he ran and through ink into the air in front of him. It splashed onto him covering his front completely. Then it started to slide and stretch, until it covered him head to toe, front and back. He made another hand sign, this one he crossed both of his hands together, making a cross out of the index and middle fingers on both of his hands.
The ink started to wiggle and move, all of a sudden jumping off of him, turning into a dark shadow of the runner, following behind with perfect synchronicity. In an instant, the ink changed colors and turned into a perfect clone of Imahe. The two began to cross paths, quicker and quicker, then suddenly darted off in separate directions. Both clones had a golden stave.
"Which one is the real one?!" Regic cried out. He had also noticed the three newcomers, and decided that he needed to stay close to them, unsure of their intentions with the scepter. He quickly assessed the situation. Well there's the Gerudo, who I really shouldn't trust. I know that some are good, but this one seems off. However, I am not entirely sure of the other two. He suddenly fell down and rolled, clutching his arms. He struggled to get back up, motioning for the other three to continue the chase.

((Not sure if you have seen Oarashi, but he isn't a zora, he looks human with long golden hair. =) Just wanted to point that out))
Watching Regic collapsed in pain, Oarashi made to move and tend to him, but stopped when the guard waved them off as though to get them to continue chasing the thief. "Lien?" he asked, looking his shoulder at the young dragon prince to see what he was planning.
"We continue, Oarashi, take after that clone, I'm going for the second one. If it's a fake, come find me, or else I'll come find you," he replied. The sea chief nodded and took after where the first clone had gone, leaving Lien to split away from his partner to pursue the second clone, hoping that it was the right target or else once he gets his hands on the real thief, he'll scorch his neck until there is nothing but charred spine left.

The black haired Gerudo quickly left the three in her dust, somehow catching up to being just a few dozen yards from Imahe, she had seen the ink become a clone of him, but was confused as to which was which. She continued running after the one she had originally chased. Or was she? Either way, she had nothing but the stick of gold on her mind, and she was going to get it, sooner than anybody thought.
Like Imahe, Iona had her own tricks up her sleeve. She blinked longer than a second, and electricity surrounded her. She focused on Imahe then shivered slightly, sending a wave of electricity at him, the ice-blue cackling energy threatening to engulf him in a matter of seconds.

The electricity smashed into Imahe and began to burn into his skin. Finally, the ink lost its shape and dropped into a large puddle on the ground. Not a millisecond later, the real imahe put his fingers up once again, and the ink reformed the same shape and continued to run in the same separate direction.
Regic got up and started to sprint for the real Imahe. "I've got you now!" He yelled. With his burned hands he managed to flick the sword out of it's sheath, and while it was in the air, he jumped up and kicked the hilt, sending it shooting through the air towards Imahe's back. Imahe never even attempted to dodge it, but let the sword cut him cleanly in half. He too dissolved into a puddle of ink. The other clone put his hand up into the same familiar hand sign and the ink puddle reformed into Imahe.
"If they are both clones, then where is the real one?" Regic asked aloud, although it was directed more toward himself.
Suddenly, a red shape shot up from under the ground, under each of the four involved in the chase. Each shape exploded, although not near as viciously as the previous two. It was enough to knock Regic back and daze him, sending pain through his arms.
The real Imahe appeared from the ground as well, a dark blob of ink initially surrounding him, but then dissipating as he stood above ground. He tossed the scepter on the ground near Regic, and smiled, his eyes turning from red to blue simultaneously. Suddenly a big bird swooped down from the night sky and he leaped onto its back. It flew into high altitudes, disappearing before anyone could recover from his explosion.
[Exit Imahe]
Regic groaned as he rolled over and saw the scepter. What was all of that? He thought as he slowly got up and tucked the scepter safely into his sword sheath, his ears still ringing.
