(Okay, only those of you who were in the thread A Fallen Friend may join, and those of you who are currently in Showdown cannot join, this thread will be quite short, and I'm only allowing one of you to join. You'll know why once it gets going)
An middle aged, yet ancient man slowly strolled down the steps of the tomb of the Assassins of Hyrule. He stopped just as he reached the end of the stairs, taking in the silence and serenity of the place. The man breathed in heavily as he took his first step and after a few moments exhaled in an delighted sense, putting on a genuine smile as he continued forward. A large pack was fixated to his back and he hunched over slightly because of its weight. Masks of all kind hung from the tightly bundled pack, some clunking together or slightly beating against it as he walked. The dimly lit room created an almost eerie aspect of his slow passage through the place. A few moments later he had reached his destination.
Argoth lay right where his fellow assassins had put him not a month ago. He seemed peaceful, as if he were only sleeping. The mask salesman stood next to the dead assassin still smiling his all too happy smile. He rummaged through a pouch on his left hip and withdrew a small wooden box. The box was rather plain, old in fact, and it looked as if it had been used quite often. He held the box over Argoth's lifeless body and opened it. The contents of the box was not anything of this world, a whitish blue shining orb no bigger than his fist rested inside. The mask salesman gently withrdrew it placed it over Argoth's chest. "Wakey wakey.." he whispered.
The glowing orb sunk into Argoth's chest and suddenly his chest convulsed upward. Veins appeared on his face, snaking upward in bright radiant blue streaks. The recently deceased assassin suddenly sat upright, eyes snapping open and gasping for breath. He began coughing horrifically after he finally started breathing. Once the coughing spell stopped he realized that he was awake and...living. "What the hell? I'm alive! But how! I just...oh" he trailed off as he saw the mask salesman next to him. "Did you.." Argoth began but for some reason couldn't finish. The mask salesman simply nodded, not saying a word. "But..how?" he asked.
"In due time. For now, just accept it."
"So I'm guessing there is no reason in asking why either?" The salesman nodded.
"Thought so. Well I guess I'll be going then, everybody is gonna love this. Especially Max," the thought of seeing his apprentice again made him extremely excited. He swung his legs over the side of his former resting place and stood up. "Well thanks a bunch uhh, Mr. Mask guy, but I should get going now." Argoth said turning around to leave. But just as he turned the mask salesman was directly in front of him. "What the..weren't you just right over there?"
"There are some things we must discuss before you leave here."
"Alright, what is it?"
"Your friends, you mustn't contact them yet."
"Well why not?"
"Your friends, including the child, are currently fighting Syrus in attempt to rescue him. For you to reveal yourself now would be foolish. You would only be adding more wood the fire. No, you must enter when the time is right."
"How the hell am I supposed to know when?"
"That, is a question only you will know the answer to."Thought you might say that. So what am I supposed to do then? Just watch them?"
The salesman just shrugged and smiled at him.
Argoth sighed and shook his head, "Great."
"Do not fret young assassin, everything will explain itself in due time."
"Whatever you say. So I'm gonna get going now, I might as well check on everyone if I cant reveal myself yet. Thanks again," Argoth turned to go but as soon as he started the salesman called him once more. "Yeah?" Argoth responded, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
The masked salesman tossed him an object that looked vaguely familiar but he couldn't remember where he had seen it before. "What's this?" he asked looking down at the weirdly shaped stone. But just as he looked up to ask the man again he was no longer there. "Right..I'll know when the time comes." he breathed.
Argoth sighed and pocketed the mysterious object, he still could not place where he had seen it before. He shrugged and turned around to leave the tomb. It felt amazing to be alive again, but since he could not see his friends yet he decided he would investigate what had happened since he died. Maybe something had happened that would tell him why the weird guy revived him, and what he was supposed to do. As he reached the exit he pushed the thoughts out of his mind, all he wanted to do currently was just make sure nobody else had died since he had. The make guy said that his friends were off fighting Syrus, it was time to find out where.
