Jalex stood atop Death Mountain, at its peak, staring down at Kakariko. His pale eyes glared down at the village as he sighed and rubbed his forehead, his exasperation at his former home annoyed him to no end. "May Din guide me."
He muttered his words under his breath as he reached to his ear and unclipped his ear ring. "Each year I come here to pray, only to pass through the one place I despise. And each year it feels worse till I reach this peak.
The man looked down at the small alter he had made of stones, and bent a knee before it. He placed the ear ring on the alter, Din's marking facing the sky. And removed the bandages from his arms, laying them around the alter.

Argoth came sprinting full speed to the top of the mountain. He glanced over his shoulder and the goron chasing him seemed to be gaining on him. Crap. Argoth thought, picking up the pace a bit. As he turned his head back to see in front of him he slammed into a person standing atop the mountain, knocking them both over. Argoth scrambled to his feet as fast as he could, but not before getting a good look at who he bumped into. He cocked an eyebrow at the unfililiar face and said, "Sorry about that," and helped him to his feet. But as Argoth wasted his time apologizing to the stranger, the gorons had caught up to him.
They immediately tried to arrest Argoth but as they were grabbing him by the arms he elbowed the one on his right in the face and rammed his heel into the side of the gorons knee to his left. The goron on the left fell to one knee and Argoth punched him in the face knocking him unconscious; he fell limp to the ground. The goron on the right was clutching a bloody nose when Argoth pivoted on his right heel and drove his left fist across his face. A smirk stretched across Argoth's face as the goron spun a full three sixty and toppled to the ground.
Argoth suddenly realized that the stranger he had bumped into had jut witnessed him incapacitate two goron guards. "Uhh, you won't tell anyone right?" Argoth asked rubbing the back of his neck, "The gorons aren't too fond of me."

Jalex stared down at the goron that lay upon his alter, the stones toppled over, and his ear ring rolled on the ground. He turned his eyes onto the man who ruined his prayer and gave him a blank stare, his pale eyes looking over the man then back at the ear ring on the ground. Shaking his head, his hair flowing around his face like a mane, he bent down and retrieved his ear ring. The goron who had landed atop his alter lay still, Jalex sighed at the sight of the creature.
"I shall speak nothing of this transgression, it is not my problem, if asked I will simply say they ruined my pilgrimage once more. May Din forgive me for this prayers postponement" Jalex said with a sigh. He would have to rebuild another alter and set up a burning. The herbalist refocused his gaze upon the man standing nearby, he gave him another calculating glare before rubbing his forehead.
"The gorons are not to be up here this time of year, they usually avoid the peak when I am here. What brings you to this place?" The red head asked clipping his ear ring on and fiddling with the orb, he began to think of alibis he could use.

Argoth looked down at the ruined prayer thingy and then at the stranger glaring at him. A wave of guilt washed over him, and his expression became apollogetic. "Crap, Im sorry I ruined your ritual thing. I had to come here on business but I'm sort of wanted. It's a long story. But after these two spotted me I bolted in the only direction available, which happened to be up here." Argoth explained. "So uh, who are you? Y name is Argoth. Again, sorry about your ritual thing." Argoth continued holding out his hand.

Azrael's hood was over his head as he climbed the mountain, his black and white hair blew over his face as the wind picked up and the spirits continued to whisper inside of his ear. He looked up as he noticed two men standing near what seemed to be an altar. One he recognized as Argoth and the other...He looks like a worshipper of Din...A rare sight...usually most Hylains these days worship all three Goddesses at the same time...or worship the Goddess of Time...the Goddess of Sand...and for me...the God of Death.." He thought as he gazed upon the sight.

Jalex shook his head. "Do not apologize, I will simply rebuild and pray. All that's needed is for the stones to be moved and I wear these more bandages than needed in case something like this might occur. As for my name Jalex, worshipper of Din, I guess you could call me a doctor." He said as he rubbed the bandages on his left arm now, he looked over to a pile of rocks and rubbed his head. Physically he was not prepared to continuously move stones, but displaying one's strength was part of the ritual.
Moving forward silently Jalex bent down and grabbed a stone before carrying it to a spot away from the unconscious gorons he moved slowly with the stone and bent down slowly as he placed it on the ground. Blood slid down his arm in a small stream, a scrap if anything. The blood stopped suddenly though as the skin crawled over the wound, and Jalex began to move back to the pile of stones. "If I may inquire, why are you hated here?"

A young man in a black coat sat cross-legged in the middle of the remains of a village nestled in the Death Mountain range. He had his hands on his knees, and his eyes were closed. He was peaceful despite his disorderly surroundings. Holes of every size were punched through the houses and other buildings, Merchant stands lay in disrepair, and scorch marks spotted the village. As the young man continued to meditate, it became harder for him to keep his peace. Horrible images flashed in his mind. Fire, dark tendrils, and terrified faces of men women, and even children. His childhood friends dying by his hand, and a dark-skinned man with red hair and a long, pointed nose standing over. He screamed and swung at the air, and pounded the ground. A dark figure rose from shadow, it was a silhouette of himself, with two elongated red diamond shapes for eyes, the only discernable feature.
"Leave me. This is diifficult enough without you." Faro said, laying his elbows on his thighs, and leaning forward.

Azrael moved closer to Argoth and the mysterious Din follower who stood near the ruined altar.
"Argoth!" he called out to him.

Eldrin whistled cheerfully as he scaled the mountain. He was having a wonderful day, some old man had asked him to deposit his life savings in the bank. Needless to say that was going to be one disappointed old man. Disappointed and destitute. As he reached the peak he came upon three men, all near a pile of stones. Eldrin recognized two of them as Azrael and Argoth, but not the older man. The thief stopped whistling and stared at them for a minute, his red eyes twinkling strangely. "I forgot... I can't whistle..." He said, his voice distant. Then he shrugged and searched the gorons for any loot they might have been carrying. After he finished he deposited the results in his bag and faced the stranger. His eyes were not on the man himself, but his ear ring. After a moment, Eldrin smiled.
"Din, huh? I'm not one for religion... But she's associated with fire, if I'm not mistaken..."

"It's strange...I havn't seen many who only worship one of the three Goddesses." Azrael said as he stopped next to Eldrin.

Jalex dropped another stone in the spot of the previous, a two small stacks stood now. "This is quiet odd, usually people do not travel up this mountain, and Din is the goddess I worship for the power she has given me to move on with my life." Jalex answered as he looked at the small assembled group. The aged man simply rubbed his chin as he looked at the other three, he was not used to people being around for his prayers, nor did he ever see anyone up atop the mountain.
Turning his back to them Jalex looked down at his new make shit alter, once more he unclasped his ear ring and placed it atop the stones. "If you three would, give me a moment of silence so that I may pray. Then I will speak with you if you wish it." Jalex said as he began removing his bandages and wrapping them onto the stone and laying them between the two piles in the shape of Din's mark. "I would like to finish my pilgrimage."

"Calm down," The shadow spoke with a deep yet civilized voice. "I merely wanted to inform that there are others here. "
"Where?" Faro asked.
"At the top of the mountain." It said.
"We talked about this. If they're theives coming down here looking for a score, you tell me and I kill them, if they stay away, then I don't care." Faro said as he stood.
"Among them is a Din worshipper" The shadow replied.
"Go tell someone who cares."
"There is quite a crowd of them."
"Why won't you let this be?" Faro snapped.
"Eldrin is among them, you should leave to avoid drawing his eye to this place. Who knows what would happen if the two of you clashed?"
"You are right. But if I simply leave, he may still find this place. The easiest way to prevent that would be to join them." Faro turned toward the Mountain and sighed, he began up a path concealed by over hanging rocks.

Azrael bowed his head in respect. "We shall wait for you to finish. We shall be waiting down the way when you are ready." Azrael said and he motioned for both Argoth and Eldrin to follow him.

For once Eldrin was actually respectful. He nodded and followed Azrael.

"Thank you." Jalex said as he kneeled before the alter, and pulling two small pieces of flint out from his robe, he lit the bandages alight. The flames arched onto the bandage covered stones and formed two small towers, his ear ring at the epicentre. "Goddess Din, I kneel before thee. You have given me power, and guided my hand, shown me the light and my gift. I praise you with this burning and my prayer. I show you my power by erecting this alter of stones, moving them by hand and alone. And now I show my dedication by placing my hands atop the flames, symbols of your power." After speaking those words he placed his hands upon the stones and let the fire run over his flesh, burning and blackening the skin. Jalex sat there for minutes his face impassive to the pain before he pulled away and reached into the center of the fire.
He retrieved his ear ring and clasped the hot metal to his ear, the orb at the end glowing a slight red. "May the fire burn with my dedication to the goddess." Jalex said as he pulled bandages from his robes and proceeded to wrap his arms as he walked away from the fire and down the path.
