Continuation of: Kadina Comes BackLocation: Great Bay Kadina stirred the contents of an enormous pot, occassionaly adding a little of anything she could come up with. She figured that if it looked good, it would most likely taste good but that was rarely ever true and should be an abandoned theory of cooking. The others lounged in the skultula house, which was surprisingly homey once they had brightened the room with lanterns. Blankets and pillows from previous squatters remained as furnishing. The stove took some time and effort to get started, but they weren't in any rush. This was a leisurely time for catching up. She had been away for so long, spending the months traveling, practicing her skill as a swordsman, and becoming a better bandit every day. She had experienced many quests and adventures but being back with her friends made her realize being a loner wasn't fun anymore. She added a few drops of rum, stirred the soup, and served the bowls. "There! Dig in." She smiled brightly and hoped someone would try it without waiting for her to lead.

It had started to storm, Torak was getting drenched as he stood by the door. Kadina finished her soup and he was about to head in when the sound of a crunching twig was heard. His head turned around to find the source of the noise. He heard growling. "Just a dog..."He thought. Opening the door and heading inside. After the Assassin went inside, a pair of green eyes seemed to glow. They were looking at the spot were Torak was standing. It was low to the ground and made a growling noise and continued to stare at the door.
Torak looked down at the bowls of soup and his stomach clenched a bit.

Eldrin sat on the floor, leaning against the wall farthest from the door. He looked up at the rain outside and shivered. Though he normally would have noticed a pair of glowing eyes, he was distracted by the storm. Lightning tore the sky in half, illuminating them all in white. Then came the grumbling roar of thunder, causing Eldrin to nearly jump into Kadina's arms.
As the door closed and the storm was shut out the thief started to return to his normal self. His loot bag lay on the floor next to him, bulging with a large unidentified object that twitched occasionally. Eldrin took his bowl of soup eagerly, as he was extremely hungry. He wasn't even bothered when something in the bowl moved. He finished his soup in no time. It was a little hard to swallow... And it tasted horrible... And it kind of made him naseous when he finished... But overall not bad for Kadina, he determined. "That was great!" He exclaimed, sliding his empty bowl across the floor to where the pot was. "By which I mean terrible..." He added, chuckling slightly. He stretched out and laid down on the floor, crossing his legs and putting his hands behind his head. "So... What have you been up to Kadina?" He asked, staring up at the rafters.

Torak took a small taste of Kadina's soup and cringed abit. He decided it would be polite to eat it anyway...despite it's horrible taste. There are pros and cons of having a wolf demon in you...the con would be the increased taste sense...in this case it would be a con. He finished it in record time and felt sick when he drained the final drop and set his bowl down with a clatter.
"Yes, Kadina. Tell us of your wild tales of piracy." Torak spoke up. Not trying to be a smartass or anything...his mind wandered back to the noise he heard when outside of the door. He tried to shake it off but couldn't.
"Eldrin...did you see anything before you came in?" He asked the thief.

Kadina narrowed her eyes at the insults of her cooking but she knew it was sadly true. She sipped at her bowl as she thought on Eldrin's question. "Let's see... I remember visiting my tribe after that war with Calamity. I had every intention of returning to you guys for more bad ass adventures but I was really distracted. One day I went fishing with a buddy of mine and some strange man was floating down the river on a horribly made raft. Tiny little guy. He spoke about the current of time relating it to the river and such. It was so... Interesting the way he talked about it. He emphasized it's power and it's importance. Really, when you think about it, time and life are the same thing. If you control time, you control life, and to control life well... Im sure you can see how valuable that would be. Anyway, i tried to ignore the little man, but first of all, he wistled when he talked through a gap in his teeth, and second of all, he got me thinking. We all know Im not power hungry. Im not the type to go berzerk with a power like time, but i would certainly use it to my advantage." kadina pulled a gold rupee from her pocket and flicked it in the air, launching it with her thumb. It glistened every flip it caught the light and landed in the palm of her hand where she paused to admire it. "So! I got curious. Have you ever wondered about Hyrule and the Hero of Time. There's a major history there. I decided to check out the temple of time. Let me tell you, I'm not a religious person, but there's something about that place. You can feel its mystery the second you walk in like there's just so much more than it's concrete walls and marble floor. one of the monks inside, obviously judging me, could see I was out of place there. I got to talking to him and he told me about the temples piwer and how it's connected to all time through a champer of gaurdians or something. I dont really know, but i asked him if there were ways for non gaurdias to tapper with time. His face became worriesom and he wouldnt say so i knew there had to be. I ended up at a library in kakariko. Yeah, i know. Very unlikely story but it's true. I read sonething about a time piece that allows you to control time somehow. The passage was very vague. I didn't know exactly what i was looking for, but i was determined to find that piece. Anyhoo.... Months went by and i had nothing. No lead. Nada. One day i was sitting in the lobby of the stock pot inn awaiting my turn to purchase a room, when a familiar fat man came bustling down the steps loaded with traveling gear. I knew i had seen him selling for the black market once. Real scummy guy. He'd hooked me up on numerous accounts with maps and treasures you couldnt find anywhere else. As he was turning in his room key, he was bickering with some man about some sort of trade. Apparently he had been ripped off. He grumbled something about revenge and getting back at him in due time. Then he patted his pocket and smiled saying something about a mapbut i noticed, unlike the fat lard himself, that his pocket was empty. I asked for his room and that night i came across what i had been looking for. Pretty lucky huh? the dope left a map to the time piece in his room." (ok. This will probably have a lot of spelling errors and typos because it's 3am and i typed this on my phone so... It will be edited... )

(So uhm, Argoth doesn't have the timepiece in this thread right? Or because this is after he aquired it, would he have it? And the tattoo? I'm not sure whether to put that in my post or not.)
Argoth and Max sat on floor leaning against the wall opposite Eldrin. Argoth held the soup bowl in his hands, staring into it with a reluctant look on his face. He had never tasted Kadina's cooking, but from the comments of the others it was nothing he wanted to try. Unfortunately politeness overtook him and he wolfed down the soup as fast as he could. After all, he was hungry. The soup tasted horrible but filled his stomach all the same. He looked up from his bowl at Kadina and listened to her story.
Maximus had a puzzled look on his face as everyone ridiculed Kadina's cooking. He seemed happy to try something new, however, unlike the others, Max loved the soup. He ate every last drop of the soup yet it didn't completely satisfy his hunger. After Kadina was done explaining where she had been he politely asked for seconds.

Eldrin listened to her story with interest, particularly interested in her search for the timepiece. Of course, he acted as if he didn't care... He sat up a little to get a better look at Kadina. "You're not looking to control life though, are you?" He asked inspecting his old friend with sharp eyes. "You're looking to control death... In specific... To reverse it." He suggested, smirking slightly. "Of course, controlling life and controlling death are practically synonymous... As the two constantly coincide..." Now he sat up completely and started digging around in his loot bag. "This timepiece that you're looking for... It won't be easy to acquire..." He found what he was looking for, a bottle of rum. He yanked out the cork with his teeth and spit it out. It soared across the room and bounced off of Max's forehead. "I'll help you, for old times sake... But only on one condition..." He took a drink from the bottle. "After you're done with it... I get to keep it!" He said, his smirk turning to a grin. He placed the bottle on the floor and slid it. The bottle glided perfectly across the floor without tipping over and slid to a halt right in front of Kadina.

Torak listened to their childish dreaming of controlling time. Time wasn't something mere mortals could control...he knew from experience and had no intention of filling them in on what he knew. They would soon discover that the power of Time should be left to the Gods and the Chosen Ones.

Kadina squealed with delight when Max asked for more soup. She hugged him excitedly then brought him the whole pot while Eldrin questioned her. She sat back down and was distracted from replying when the rum slid into reach. She took a sip and set it back down. "Originally, I wanted it for theft. It'd be a nifty little tool, don't you think? I have absolutely no desire for power. Just treasures. Sad, but true. Only I've been thinking... There has to be a way it can help me bring Tagor back." She took another drink then slid the drink to Torak. "What do any of you know about this timepiece?"

Torak took a drink from the rum before saying "I know that it's a dark and powerful item. I've heard tales of men and women going insane from having the power to control time. In my earlier days of the Order...I've seen what it can do and used it's abilities for my own purposes..."Torak took a another sip of the rum before handing it back to Kadina.
"I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for that mask salesman..." Torak mumbled, digging around in his pouch for something.

"Personally, I haven't heard much about it... 'cept in a couple fairy tales... It's been suggested that it was used by the Hero of Time, but I doubt it. He used an instrument or something. Personally, I don't want it for power in the most literal sense... 'Cause with power comes responsibility and all that junk... But think about the possibilities of a thief controlling time! I could steal anything!" He said as his bag began to crawl away in a strange way that resembled a Skulltula scuttling. Eldrin pounced on it and slammed the bag, and the Skulltula inside, into a wall. The bag fell limp and Eldrin returned to where he had been sitting, placing the loot bag next to him.

"You would still have the power over time, Eldrin. You're already insane..I would hate to see you more insane than this." Torak said, he found what he was looking for and pulled it out. It was wrapped in parchment and it seemed to be rounded.

"I just have no idea where to find it. And I don't even know how the after life works. What if his spirit has already gone on and I can't get him back?" Kadina scratched designs into the wooden floor with her dagger. She would have been more interested in Torak's object but the thought saddened her and she was distracted.

"That would be a question for Azrael. He seems to be the only one of us who has any understanding of what lies beyond this world...mostly because he can visit it when he wishes.."Torak said, unwrapping the item.

Kadina sighed. "Desert people and their spiritual connections. No fair..." She stabbed her dagger into the floor, took a swig of rum, then slid it over to Argoth.
"Wait... he can actually go talk to Tagor?" She perked up.
