((If you want to know how this all came to be, read Geralt's character history))
The Lost Woods, Hyrule.
A group of Skull Children sat around a small makeshift fire, their flutes were out and they were playing them, sending sweet music floating through the air. It was rather peaceful, a light drizzle of rain joined in the song and the Skull Children laughed with delight.
However.. the storm turned dark and thunder and lightning clashed in the sky, like two Gods fighting. This storm.. however.. would be different. The Skull Children looked up into the sky to watch the light show.
BOOM! The thunder rang out and lightning tore it's way across the sky. However.. this time it really did tear across the sky and a yellow hole appeared in the sky.
The Skull Children gasped in fear as the hole opened in the sky and something fell out, they watched as it fell and THUD!" landed right next to them. The Skull Children gasped once more and stood up quickly, all holding their flutes at the strange thing that fell.
They waited for a few moments and the "thing" groaned.
"Nienawidzę portali..." it groaned and slowly started to stand up. The "thing" revealed itself to be a man, a tall and muscular one with white hair, beard and amber cat eyes.
Geralt shook his head again and sighed, he looked up and took in his surroundings.
"Where the hell am I..?" He muttered, his gaze fell on the Skull Children. He was about to open his mouth when his medallion started to hum and vibrate as he gazed on the children.
"Huh.. magic.."He muttered, he took one step towards the Skull Children, with a giggle they flipped and vanished.
Geralt sighed heavily. He had no idea where he was at AND he just was sucked into a portal and deposited in a strange place and possibly on another world.
"Well... no use complaining about it. Might as well try and get out of here and find civilization. Figure out where the hell I am." Geralt muttered to himself. He was about to take one step when he paused, gazing around at 4 different tunnels made out of fallen trees.
"Now... which way is the correct way out of here.." Geralt wondered aloud, he turned to face each tunnel and chose the one that his medallion reacted to. Nodding, he started down that path.

Argoth ran full speed in the direction opposite the newcomer. He didn't see him, as the tunnels were rather dark and his eyes hadn't adjusted yet. If it weren't for the slight gust of wind he felt as the man stepped out of his way he would have never known he was there. Arogth halted, momentarily forgetting the little shit that had stolen his rupee purse. He narrowed his eyes at the dark, "Is someone th-" he began, but stopped as soon as he saw a reflection of light off the eyes of the person in the tunnel with him. "Woah, you must be new. I've never seen cat eyes on a man around here before. And I've seen some crazy shit."

It took even Geralt’s eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness of the Lost Woods. His eyes were mutated to allow him to see in the dark (enhanced even further if he took a swig of Cat potion) however, his hearing was still functioning as it should as he heard someone running towards his direction. Geralt swiftly stepped out of the stranger’s way and immediately took a ready stance, his right hand shooting up towards his back. His eyes had adjusted enough to allow him to identify the stranger as human or humanoid. His right hand hovered near the hilt of his steel sword.
The stranger muttered something in an unknown language before he noticed Geralt.
The stranger again spoke in an unknown language and Geralt sighed.
“Damn... this translation stone that Triss gave me should have kicked in by now...” Geralt muttered, his left hand reaching into a pouch on his belt and digging around for a moment before pulling out a green stone with strange blue markings on it.
“How do I get this to activate...” Geralt muttered to himself while he turned the stone in his hand.
For a moment Geralt just turned the stone in his hand before moving his right hand from near his sword and made a few hand signs and the stone glowed green for a moment and dimmed back down.
“Alright. That should work.” Geralt said before turning his attention to the stranger.
“Who are you and where am I?” Geralt asked, hoping it was translated to whatever the native language of this world was.

Argoth cocked an eyebrow at the stranger. He was speaking some language Argoth couldn't understand. That was a first. He could speak and understand almost every language in Hyrule and Termina save some of the ancient sects of zora. The AoH required proficiency in disguise, which meant learning all you could to blend in. With contracts spanning nearly every region of importance, Argoth had learned to speak the numerous languages around Hyrule and Termina. So if this stranger was speaking a language he couldn't understand, then he must be from much farther away than Argoth had ever been.
Argoth's eyes were adjusting somewhat and in the gloom he saw the stranger withdraw a lump from his pocket. At first, a wave of alarm went through him and he stepped back. Then it began to glow, casting dim green light up into the face of the newcomer. Those bizarre feline eyes flashed in the arcane light, making Argoth feel slightly uneasy. Who was this guy? He made signs over the stone with his hands, all the while speaking in gibberish until suddenly he wasn't, and clear as day Hylian began spilling from his mouth. "Alright that should work, who are you and where am I?"
"Woah," Arogth blurted out in astonishment, "That was cool." Then he cleared his throat and stood up straight. "I mean, you first. I know you can't be from around here. Those eyes, that accent, whatever language you were speaking. You must be from far faaar away my friend. How did you even get here?"

Geralt’s eyes narrowed slightly as he studied the stranger. His medallion hummed still. This magic was unfamiliar and it felt as if the whole forest contained magic.
“Geralt of Rivia. I’m a Witcher.” Geralt said after a moment, his body still in a battle ready stance in case this stranger proved to be a foe instead of a friend. Geralt was a stranger in this strange land and he could not tell who was trustworthy or not.

Argoth cocked an eyebrow, "A what now?" he asked, thoroughly confused. A witcher? What in the goddesses was that? He'd never met anyone in all of Hyrule or Termina that claimed to be whatever the hell that was.
Then a memory struck Argoth like an axe to the head and he comically slapped a hand to his forehead. Rii and Max were waiting for him just on the other side of this tunnel. How could he have forgotten? Argoth blamed the stranger. This intriguing man not only caused him to forget about his friends momentarily, but also the sack of rupees that brat had pilfered from him only a few minutes ago. Argoth cleared his throat again and said, "Listen, let's get out of this dark ass tunnel, uh, Geralt, and go meet up with some of my friends on the other side of this tunnel. They've been waiting for me to return to them and I think the three of them would love to meet you. Maybe we could even show you around."
And keep an eye on him. Argoth thought. Something weirds me out about this guy.

Argoth had run off several minutes ago chasing a quick and crafty resident of the Lost Woods, and he had yet to return. Rii was beginning to suspect Argoth had wandered further than he realized, because the "little shit" as Argoth had called them before making chase had reappeared without him, snickering and holding Argoth's rupee purse. Argoth, however, was nowhere in sight. Yes, he must have accidentally strayed too far. The "little shit" snickered far less when they realized Rii and Maximus were still there, blocking their path. Without a second thought, Rii gently reached for their shoulder. "Might I propose a trade?" the Zora asked.
Several minutes later, Rii and Maximus found themselves venturing through the woods, Argoth's rupee purse safely in Rii's webbed hand. "There are many places the forest could have guided him," Rii noted, glancing at the twisting paths that branched before her, some dappled with sunlight that slipped through the leaves, many more shaded from the outside world with branches and plants grown thick and close together, or cloaked entirely in inexplicable fog. "But I believe the woods have finished their jest." She paused, cocking hear head towards a giant hollowed out tree that stretched away from them, fallen on its side to make a tunnel. "If we listen..." She glanced at Maximus and pressed a finger to her smiling lips. Then she tiptoed through the tunnel, Argoth's voice growing louder and more distinct as they neared the sunlight on the other side.
"Maybe we could even show you around."
"The woods will lead us back to him," Rii finished, voice barely a whisper to Maximus in her best attempt to give Maximus the element of surprise against his mentor.
