Name: Vai (alias, literally just means "girl" or "woman")
Age: 14
Sex: Female
Race: Gerudo
Physical Description: Vai is a young woman who stands at about 5'2", with a thin and lanky build. She has light brown skin, a prominent aquiline nose, and vibrant green eyes. Her hair is naturally the fiery red color characteristic of most Gerudo, but she always keeps it dyed black.
She usually wears plain clothes, a simple tunic, and knee-length trousers. Her feet and hands are always bare if she can help it, in order to facilitate the use of her powers. While she is (usually) not unclean, Vai dismisses primping and preening as a waste of time. As such, she never wears any sort of make-up, perfumes, or ornamentation. The only exception to this is a single earring that she wears in her left ear, a thin gold hoop with sentimental value.
Weapons: Boomerang
Magic: Vai can manipulate the forces of friction and adhesion as they apply to herself, or to any part of her body specifically. This has two main applications:
Slipping- She can decrease her friction to make herself "slippery". While in this state, she is nearly impossible to grab or hold on to, and she can slide across any solid surface without losing (or gaining) any momentum, as long as that surface is reasonably level.
Sticking- She can increase her adhesion to make herself "sticky", allowing her to stick to walls, ceilings, and even the floor. This allows her to climb and cling to any solid surface.
Weakness:
Likes: Spicy food, vigilantism, dogs, disobedience in all of its myriad forms, and chuchus
Dislikes: Seafood, authority, sand, responsibility, and shoes
Alignment: Chaotic "good"
Biography: Vai rarely speaks of her past, nor does she often think about it. She lives in the present with a zeal that belies the fact that she's running from something, or maybe someone. What is known is that she grew up in the Gerudo desert, raised by her Vaba (grandmother). She seemed to have a fairly happy, if boring, childhood. She speaks of her Vaba in the present tense, implying that the woman still lives. One year ago, she left behind her desert home, her tribe and family, and even her true name to search for something. She wandered Hyrule for around six months, stealing at first to survive, and then just for fun. Eventually, she came to Hyrule Castle Town, where she attempted to pickpocket a purple rupee from a seasoned thief. This went poorly, and after a prolonged chase, he cornered her. After some negotiations, the older thief admitted to being impressed with her skills. He offered to show her a few tricks. She promptly told him where he could shove his tricks. He gave her the purple rupee, with a marking on it, and told her to find his mark in the Castle Town market if she changed her mind. After some time, she relented, and finding his mark on the doorframe of an antique pottery shop, she found him. Since then she's trained under the thief, learning to not only prowl the night... but to own it.
