Blade chuckled a bit when Thell said "great quests". "Hate to burst your bubble, kid, but I'm an assassin. There's no noble cause that I fight for. I take contracts that'll do more good than bad, but that's where it ends." Blade explained.

"Still a great quest. There's blind killing, and then there's stuff with a purpose, even if it isn't yours. I'd hire you to kill my target, but I'm hoping to do that myself. Why pay for what I can do myself?" Thell pointed out. "Have either of you ever done a quest with someone else, though? I like the fruits of my labor to be my own, but I wonder if there's something I'm missing when it comes to people who group up to help someone accomplish their mission."

"I still fail to see how me almost dying provides information to you enough not to behead me," Sappho grumbled a bit. frowning behind his mask. "Speaking of target, why is it you are seeking to kill someone? You truly don't seem to be the kind that will hold a grudge against anything but judging by the scar you have, I take it that is part of the reason why you intend to kill someone? Because they are out looking for you at this exact moment to try to end you? I know it seems I might be jumping too hastily into conclusions but that scar can't be caused by an accidental house fire."

Thell didn't comment on her logic behind beheading people, partially because he didn't answer her question at all. He was a mysterious person, and knowing anything about him meant he wasn't just a dark shadow in the mind. Instead of answering her question about groups for quests, however, he asked about why she had her own little quest in the first place. Well, she'd answer. She enjoyed putting up a mysterious air for strangers, but since neither of these people cared at all, she'd drop it. "So observant, Sappho," she said with a grin. "A man burned down my father's workshop with my father in it, and I was told the man had hoped to kill me, too. I went out to take revenge, and I got myself a man along the way. He thought it'd be fun if we met up at a tavern. And then I was knocked unconscious and woke up to the smell of my own body burning." With that Thell threw up her hands as if to say 'tada'. "Did this have something to do with my question?" she asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Yes," Sappho answered sharply, closing his eyes. "I would like to know what it is exactly we are getting into on this quest. Although your target may be only searching you and you alone out, I have a feeling both me and Blade have been marked as suspects that may know where your whereabouts are. Much like the mud print of their quarry, we are the marking trail to you."

"You act like we'd give up info that easily." Blade remarked.

Thell felt a smile slowly beginning to grow on her face. Sappho had said 'we'. "It might not just be me, but I wouldn't know. I've been after him for my own revenge. Though he put my whole town in danger by burning down my father's workshop. We had apprentices that could've been in there. Buildings near by," Thell remarked. She hadn't thought to look outside her narrow, vengeful vision. Were there others this mystery guy was getting? And why with fire?
Blade had also made a comment. His words sounded offended. "It hadn't even occurred to me that you guys might be in danger, too. The way you guys have been slow to give information, I'm not worried about you guys talking or him finding me. That'd actually make it easier, but I wouldn't want to leave you guys hanging for the pyromaniac either," Thell said, losing herself in her verbal thinking as she worked out the pros and cons of the situation. so this is why she hadn't thought of the problem being bigger than just her. Having people involved made thinking about the problem a bigger headache.
But 'we' sounded appealing to Thell.

"I'm not afraid of one crazy arsonist. The guys I mentioned a while ago, Eldrin and Faro, would probably mop the floor with your guy, that is unless he isn't already ash to be swept up when they're through." Blade boasted.

"Same, Lien is pratically immune to fire in his dragon form. . . but yes, I am quite a bit concern about other people you may have come in contact with before us. . . " Sappho trailed off.

"I feel like you're trying to make me feel rotten... minus you, Blade, you've made no comment on that," Thell joked with a bit of a forced-sounding laugh. Then she suddenly stopped. "I spent a year with a Zora healer after almost being roasted. But she's a healer, and literally a fish out of water so... she'd be okay, right? But the guy seems after my family, and I'm the last one left... So..."
"You know you're half Gerudo, right? Maybe you should check in with them," Vandir pointed out. Thell cursed herself with a couple colorful words under her breath. She had gone there when traveling with Rii.

"Killed your family? Good. Maybe there is hope for you." Blade remarked cryptically.

Blade's blunt yet cryptic comment left Thell staring at him for a moment. She decided in the end he meant that it would fuel her blood thirst for the man who'd killed her family. "Well," she began, "technically he's only killed my father, unless he's had something to do with my mother's death. But she died having me. Still, even if it was just my father, the man got a lot of my creations, too. That was pretty much all my family."
Thell's eyes narrowed as she glanced over at Vandir, and then Zan, who was now chasing his little wooden tail. Her new family, though not quite the same as humanoid relationships. "Glad to hear that family death is a good thing, though," she then remarked with a bitter smile, a hint of sarcasm in her voice, not because she didn't believe it would help her in her quest, but because most people would say it was sad to be alone. "I just wonder if it's enough. My dad had a smart head on his shoulders. Always said you needed other people, even if you didn't want them, for opinions and skills and fresh perspective. That I don't have. I've got my wooden friends, but it's not quite the same. Sorry, Vandir."

"It is a good thing." Blade started. "Too many people set out for revenge for the wrong reasons. I've seen great people led to ruin by selfish quests of revenge. In my experience, the purest form of revenge is taken for others. You kill your target so they can spit on him in the afterlife. Sounds like a good reason to me"

Thell nearly slapped her forehead. Jeez, this is why she didn't go for subtly. Though maybe they weren't expecting her to ask them, two random strangers, to go on this quest with her. Not that she would expect them to agree, but she was going to try. That's right. She was going to ask them, and she decided she was going to throw subtly out the window. Let it be damned, because it never worked for her. Even when she wanted to be mysterious. "Are either of you bored? Because I've got one very exciting quest all about an arsonist!" Thell asked. There, she said it, and it felt very good to just speak the question on her mind.
"You're the queen of being subtle," Vandir observed as he watched Zan.
"Damn right."

"I don't see why not." Blade said, shrugging. "Just think about what I said. Don't kill him for you. Kill him for them."
