(... 'til someone gets attacked by crazy moon-people...)
Eldrin looked up in surprise at the sound of Rii's voice. Speak of the Zora... He saw only a figure shrouded in a long black cloak standing in the doorway, but the voice coming from it made him sure it was her. It was different somehow, lacking that dreamy, aloof quality that had drawn him to her. It was a serious voice, more down to business than usual. It was a surprising change, but Eldrin understood it. This was her game face. Except, it was a voice, not a face. So, game voice?
"Eldrin," that same voice brought him out of his thoughts and back into the dusty debris ridden inn room. "You'll behave while I heal you, won't you?" Eldrin grinned and opened his mouth for a comeback, but another pulse of pain silenced him. It was alright though, as she didn't seem to be listening for one.
Rii immediately set to work assessing his wounds and treating them. She confirmed that his leg was broken, and correctly assumed his suspicions of this. Yet, it was the glass shards that she attended to first. It made sense, after all. She'd probably have to wrap the leg with a splint to set it right, and that wouldn't really work out with all the glass still sticking out. Still though, this was the part he had been dreading the most. She gave him two little leaves, green with white edges. Eldrin assumed they were a distraction. Every time Ayishe had treated the various injuries he'd sustained over his years with her, she gave him mint leaves to chew on. The taste and repetitive motion of chewing provided him with a momentary distraction while she took care of the most painful parts. It was a rare show of kindness from a teacher who wouldn't hesitate to correct bad grammar with a boot to the face, but he had grown accustomed to it. Eldrin popped the little leaves into his mouth and chewed them happily with this thought. He was instantly caught off guard when the leaves released a harsh, bitter taste into his mouth. His initial reaction was to spit the leaves out, but he refrained. Rii was directly in the line of fire, and spitting chewed up leaf mulch on a friend was hardly any way to thank her... Even if she'd knowingly given him something nasty to eat. Instead, Eldrin swallowed the leaves quickly, ridding himself of the taste.
Before he had even had a chance to ask her about the leaves, he understood. A soothing numbness spread through his body, dulling the pain in his leg instantly. It still hurt every time she removed a shard of glass, but at least it was lessened. When she had finished with that, Rii demanded reassurance that he'd stay off the leg. He sighed, favored legs wouldn't save Max any more than medical detours would. Yet, he knew Rii was adamant in this demand, and an injured leg would do less to save the kid. He had little choice but to agree.
"Don't you worry 'bout a thing, darling. I'll hop the whole way to the moon!" he replied with a chuckle and a wink.

Rii nodded as she began to mutter to herself and get out a few more things, including wrappings and long rods that the inside of her cloak had little loops for. She really was liking the cloak. "Tell the moon I said hello, when you hop over there. It's always been such a wonderful light in the night for me," Rii informed Eldrin as she handed him a small bundle of the leaves from before. "Only have one at a time, and make sure it's been at least three hours before you take more." Decided, Rii set to work creating her cast for Eldrin, which mostly involved heavily wrapped bandages, thick wooden rods running straight up and down the sides of his leg to keep it from bending at the knee and the ankle, and then more bandages. She'd have to go to her room and take one of the contractable walking sticks she'd ordered to be made. After the incident a few years ago where a patient had to have his leg amputated and he required a walking stick, Rii didn't like to go without one.
Work done, Rii stood, offering her webbed hand to help the thief stand. As she did so she glanced over her shoulder at the teenager who had spoken to her first. "I assume you're my ne___" She paused as her brain suddenly alerted her to his condition. Icylius. Hylian male. 17. Mild concussion. Nevermind. That would be a quick fix. With her free hand Rii decided to ignore her previous sentence and pull out the cool jelly she had used on Kadina, wrapping it in a a scrap of cloth. She tossed it at Icylius before also grabbing a small bag full of crushed leaves, specifically the leaves she had given to Eldrin. "Put the wrap to your head and if you get a headache eat a small pinch of that powder."
Three patients down. One to go. "Now are you going to let me heal you, or are we going to have to do this the hard way?" Rii asked Mathayus, voice hardening. Icylius had been right when he had said Mathayus' injuries were the worst, and Rii wasn't happy that she had left him for last simply because that's what he wanted.

Mathayus' breathing had become a tad sporadic from all the pain he was enduring. He nodded at Rii telling her he was going to fully cooperate. All he wanted was for the pain of his intense burn to alleviate somehow, and it was all he could to keep himself away after the concussion he was suffering from. Mathayus needed to be patched up, and quick.

Rii's eyes softened at Mathayus' obvious pain. She'd fix that. With that she set to work. Mathayus. Hylian male. 47. Mild concussion. Severe burns along right side. Moderate left temple gash. Bruised ribs, left side. Rii frowned at first, now really regretting leaving him for last. But there was nothing she could do. He was lettering her heal him now. Not earlier.
"Fire must find people's right sides to be delicious," she murmured as she reached for a salve to spread on the gash to get it to stop bleeding so she could work on everything else. Luckily it wasn't life threatening like her last severe burn patient had been.
After lightly spreading the salve on Mathayus' left temple before covering it with a bandage, Rii then quickly made another wrap just like Icylius' to act as an ice pack. "Hold it to your head with your left arm for a couple seconds. If it hurts your ribs to do that, stop," Rii instructed, ripping at his shirt and spreading the leftover cool jelly onto the left part of his ribcage. As she opened a new jar of jelly and got out a different salve and a couple berries to squeeze for some fresh juice, she whispered, "You don't have to play tough guy. The moon trip can wait a few hours so you can sleep. My salves should've fixed most of your injuries by then, and your burn will have become far weaker. You're doing very well, but there's a reason Kadina passed out." Despite saying this, Rii knew it was possible he wouldn't listen. She was curious as to why they were going to the moon, and though she wouldn't ask now, she felt it was urgent.
Fingers light as feathers, she put the smallest layer of jelly onto his burn before crushing the berries she had taken out. Sprinkle juice on burn, put salve on, put more juice on, cover in bandages. She was too much in the zone to see if Mathayus cared that she was now ripping his shirt off to wrap the bandages correctly. She just needed to make sure the skin was cool, the salve soothed the pain, and the juice soaked into the skin to treat the tissue, as the burn was deeper.
"There you are," Rii announced, leaning back to make sure her work was done correctly. She really would rather check on them all at a later date, considering their injuries, but she wondered if that would be possible with their mission. Probably not, as usual.

A never ending sea of darkness...
Though it could not be defined, Kadina felt it shift and spin like water down a drain. Slow at first, then like a wild rapid. She felt both ends of her body stretching away from her center as if she might snap and explode into a thousand vibrant sparks.
Tiny spectrums of light began to sprinkle the black sea around her and morphed into massive orbs. They were stars, near and far, and they flickered like lamps in the darkness of her mind.
Plank by plank, a pier formed below her. Kadina, suspended in the air, was gently settled upon the dock. The tip of her toes touched down lightly and delicately. Funny, isn't it? There didn't seem to be any water.
Curious as always, she kneeled by the edge and dipped her finger over the side to find that there was, infact, water. It reflected the stars for miles and miles, but had no definition between it and the sky. One minute her hand was dry, the next, it was lifting an invisible liquid. Not clear, like water, but completely invisible. She splashed it and watched ripples disrupt the stars.
Kadina stood and gazed out past the end of the pier. She wondered.... What would happen if--
Suddenly, she began running. The pounding of her feet was silent. She reached the end of the pier and leaped into the air for a dive. Holding her breath, she broke through the invisible liquid surface, but found she could still breath. The moon was shining right beneath her. It was massive. She swam towards it and just before she was about to touch it, it's light enveloped her.
Through the explosion of white light, she heard many familiar voices calling out her name in a series of different emotion. Some of them called her name joyfully, some franticly, and others despairingly. Suddenly, a large unidentifiable bird briefly flew into sight before disappearing into the white noise. She had never seen anything like it and could barely find the words to describe it.
Just as she felt herself coming back to consciousness, she heard Max call her name the loudest above the rest.
He was frantic.

Mathayus did as instructed and held the makeshift ice pack to his temple. It did in fact hurt his ribs to do so but he didn't show the pain. Everything Rii had done to him felt so relieving that Mathayus let out a sigh of satisfactory exhaustion. The beating he had taken from that bomb drained all of his energy, and Rii was right when she said that he should rest before going after Max, but because of his stubborn and serious attitude he found it hard to listen. However, Mathayus did realize that without rest none of them would be at their best for young Max, and it could very well cost not only his life, but their own as well. After Rii had finished Mathayus looked Rii in the eyes, "I owe you my life, thank you," he said. This was not common for Mathayus, thanking people with sincerity was always a rare luxury for whoever received it, and he was also not very good at it. With that out of the way he attempted to stand. Pain instantaneously shot through is torso and a dizziness overtook his head. He leaned against the wall until the cooling gel that the healer had used dulled it down to a bearable level, "We must rest," Mathayus stated.
"Agreed," Icylius added while returning to his feet. "Uh, thanks, whoever you are." He looked down at Rii and tried his best to pull a smile but failed miserably. Social interaction really wasn't his forte.
"The rooms down the hall should suffice for now. You should carry Kadina to a room, Icylius, if she doesn't wake up."
Icylius froze when Mathayus suggested he carry Kadina. Did he have to? He glanced around at everyone else: Eldirn obviously couldn't with his broken ankle and Mathayus was burnt half to hell. Icylius finally nodded at Mathayus, he was the only one capable. Unless the healer could do it? A strong urge to ask her arose from the more selfish part of him but he quelled it.

Zael stood in front of the commander that had just stepped foot on his moon. Not long after her arrival the rest of her team showed up, one of them was carrying little Max. She tossed him at Zael's feet and asked, "What should we do with him?"
Zael stared at Maximus for quite some time before answering. "This one is infected, he is of no use to me. Give him to Syrus, he seems to have an affinity for this one."
"As you command."
