Appalled, she recoiled back slightly, her hand coming to her mouth. Then her face became clouded in with indignation, her eyes vivid. She sat straight up in her chair. "How dare you?! Don't throw me in the same boat as that... thing. I have standards, thank you very much. I wouldn't steal from you outrightly! I'm better than to be a simple pickpocket. It took time and patience to make off with all the Gerudo's treasure. My mother was a Gerudo and my father a pirate, not a thief. Honestly." . She sighed and flopped back against her seat. Let them think what they wanted. If they were truly worthy of her respect, they would see through her. Iona frowned. She had issues, didn't she?

Argoth laughed at Iona's outburst, "Woah there, calm down. I don't think anyone here is judging your abilities as a thief."

Azrael grinned a bit under his hood after she spoke. "There is no need to get angry...we are all friends here." He stood up and said "There seems to be someone from the other side in this house. They're watching you closely, Iona."

She flashed Argoth a suspicious glare. She didn't care if he believed her or not. She needed to get that gold to Lord Izare soon. Not that she worked for him. TheZora Sapphires and Crystals were among the largest, and gorgeous, supposedly outdoing the Diamonds of the Goddesses. One hung at her throat, the other rested in a safe place. She was eyeing the one in the Zoras' hands. One problem. She couldn't swim.
Iona messed with a lock of her hair and sighed. " you never answered my question. Where are the women of your group?" she demanded tiredly. Aetis was probably stuffing himself silly, but she hadn't eaten and was sleepily than usual. She stifled a yawn.

Argoth let out a sigh, "There is only one other girl, and she isn't here yet."

"What? Oh. That's probably just Aetis wanting to come in. If it's not then I have a problem I need to attend to right away," she stands up from her chair, hooking the chain to her blade and drawing her sword. She scooped up both sets of her earrigs, dis resting dropping them both in the shirt of her robes. She glances in question to Azrael. "So Azrael? Who is it?"

Eldrin showed up at Jaru's house just as the door closed behind Azrael. He walked over to the window and listened for a while, but found himself not interested. It was all just useless chatter, however heated. He was flattered by their opinions of him (even Iona's), but thought the rest of it was quite banal. Mostly just the Gerudo girl arguing with everyone about everything. He considered not even bothering, and just waiting on the roof until his friends were actually ready to do something. Evetually he came to the decision that he should. After all, Jaru didn't seem to be doing too bad off. Only a fool would miss such an opportunity.
Minutes later, Eldrin came out of Jaru's study and into the front room where his friends sat around a table. As he walked he pocketed a spare key to Jaru's house. "He really is a wonderful man, your father," He commented to Garen. "Bit too many wrinkles for my tastes, but still..." He trailed off, sitting on the edge of the table.
"By the way, Miss Solas, I don't mind the insults... And your comments about my morals and honor were right on the mark. But if I may comment: Speak of me all you want as a petty thief with little skill. But I assure you, believing such a thing would be a terrible, possibly lethal, mistake." He said calmly, his back to the Gerudo. His voice lacked all of its usual warmth, making it sound extremely fierce. His eyes, though they were still looking at Garen, were narrowed. For a moment his voice and expression were reminiscent of Frost's coldness. After he finished speaking, he dropped Iona's bangles (which he had stolen back in the Lost Woods) onto the table in font of her, making a light jingle.
Eldrin turned and smiled at Iona. "Did I mention you look gorgeous today?" He asked, his voice returning back to its usual cheerful tone. "Which reminds me..." He said, turning back to Garen. "Do you have any cheese?"

"Should be some in the cabinet over there." Garen replied, pointing on a cabinet on the opposite side of the room. He turned to Iona, "I understand your unwillingness to trust us in paticular, but why do you have this hatred towards the male gender?" He asked the new woman. "Also, in case you haven't known before, name's Garen."

"Go screw yourself sideways, Eldrin," she snarled at the thief. Everybody was so vain about their abilities! It must be a male thing. It was a good thing they didn't expect much from her. She'll let Eldrin decide what she thought of anything because she just doesn't care. Everybody was dangerous, particularly vain individuals.
Aetis slid in through the window and wrapped himself around her chair. He flicked his tongue at her, bur she held up a hand. Later. He hissed at Eldrin before going to sleep. Iona turned to Garen and sighed. "I hate males because I've never quite been around them, bring stuck in the Gerudo's fortress because of this," she replied to him and the room was suddenly bright as a ball of electricity formed in her hand. She extinguished it and leaned on the table with her chin on her hands. "I dislike you as a gender especially if that is what to be desired of you. There's nothing against you personally; I just have issues," she explains. She yawned again and twirled a lock of hair around a finger.

"Clearly." Blade chimed in. "Then again, you're not the only one. Humans in general have disgusted me on more than one occasion. If you don't want me to "throw you in the same boat", you'll have to pull your own weight." Blade explained, though he had nothing against Iona or any newcomers to the group of "heroes" he'd known since he joined the Assassin's of Hyrule; he was just wary and expectant of any newbies.

"If she's just going to whine then she's of no use to us." A voice came from the doorway. Azrael turned to look to see that it was Torak...how he knew where they were every time was a mystery, even to the Desert Monk. Torak seemed to have a very dark aura surrounding his soul...it was impossible to penetrate it...it seemed almost...demonic in nature.
"To answer your question, Iona. It's a child spirit...where he came from..I don't know. But he seemed to have followed you from the Lost Woods."

Aetis woke up upon hearing Torak's entrance. Iona glared at the two new men and fell into a dark mood. "Oh, that's right. I wanted to be in a group of men just so I can bother you all and whine. That's exactly why I'm here." she said sarcastically and rolled her eyes. Aetis watched Torak with interest, flicking his forked tongue to take in his scent. Iona sized him up and crossed her arms, weighing the pros and cons of possibly leaving the group an how. She turned to Azrael. "Would this spirit bother me? And who are all of you?" demands as she crossed her legs and leaned back, analyzing the situation. She hoped this female would join hen soon.

"You're not a very nice girl..." Eldrin commented, closing the cabinet with his foot, because he had to use both hands to hold the giant cheese wheel he'd extracted from Jaru's cabinet. He dropped the cheese wheel onto the table with a loud thud, then began cutting it into equal portions for them all with Garen's shortsword. The thief felt that the cheese-wheel was to big for a knife, and anyway, who really cared about a slightly bloody after-taste. He knew many of them would refuse. Iona didn't trust him, and the rest would probably just refuse because that's just the way they were. But still, he was in a good mood, and felt like serving them food that wasn't laced with poison or sedatives. "I'm not sayin' you should be some self-righteous do-gooder... But just be less vulgar, and vicious... And voracious... And all those other 'V' words. You apparently hate me because I tried to rob you, which you take as a confirmation to your preconceived notion of men's savagery." He said, handing the stolen shortsword back to Garen. He transferred a wedge of cheese to a plate for each of them, two for himself and three for the snake.
He passed a plate to everyone, thumping the snake on the head to wake it up, but moving to fast for it to bite his fingers. Then he distributed fine wine glasses filled with Jaru's best wine. "First of all, you'll never get anywhere hating someone for so little... I've had Azrael ambushed by a squadron of guards, left Argoth chained up in a cell, poisoned my mentor... And those are only the most recent examples I can think of... But they're still my friends, 'cause they're a nice sort of people. The ones that don't hold grudges. And I'd rather surround myself with these guys constantly than spend even a day with the crooks you'd expect me to. Because those guys can't let stuff go... And furthermore, you shouldn't decide that all people are the same just because they all share the same biological feature. Life move forward constantly like a river. You can be a rock, stalwart, forcing the waters of life and all its inhabitants to go around you 'cause your not moving, your staying right where you are. You decide your beliefs before you get started an' nothing is changing them. But eventually, life will weather you away, wear you down 'til you're nothin'. Or you can be a fish, just going with the flow, living life to its fullest and shrugging off danger, threats, treachery, even a friend's betrayal. Letting life show you how others really are over time, 'cause your not just watchin' them pass by. Your going along the ride with them. And you'll see their true colors." Eldrin said, stuffing his face with cheese as he spoke, but barely drinking any wine. "Or you can be like me, a salmon... going against the current..." He laughed and stood up. He took a plate of cheese and a bottle of wine and walked over to the door to Jaru's study. "Now if you'll excuse me, our host has yet to eat..." He said, as he knocked on the door.
Eldrin didn't wait to be invited before coming in. "Thought you might be hungry," He said to Jaru, closing the door behind him. "Reading can really make ya hungry... especially if the author never shuts up about all the food they're eating..." He plopped down in a chair next to Garen's father and put the cheese and wine on the desk.

"The man who just walked in is Torak Wolffang. He's the Grand Master of the Assassin's of Hyrule...the youngest to take the title of Grand Master in the order I believe...and about the child spirit...I sense no evil in it...simply just a child that has taken a liking to you." Azrael replied to Iona.
Torak went over to the table where Eldrin was cutting up the cheese and took a slice and started to chew on it. The bloody after-taste was not that much of a deal to him, he looked over at the Gerudo girl and noticed that her snake was watching him closely.
"If I'm not mistaken...that is an Eagle Snake.." Zanzabar spoke in Torak's mind.
"Very few of them left..." Torak replied through his thoughts.
Azrael watched Torak very closely...he wanted to know what that demonic shadow that was always with Torak was...he knew that Torak was of humanoid origin...but to his knowledge...nothing of Torak's homeland of Carnavorna existed in Hyrule or Termina.
