"Right on it." Lien murmured, leading him through the temple. He took rather awkward zig zag steps to avoid the traps, then finally came to a hallway with a huge pit, sheer blackness below. Hello? Is anyone there? He called down to the pit.

Iona tried and tried to produce electricity, but because of her hysteria, her fear made her unfocused. She hugged her knees to her chest, rocking back and forth, silent. Then she heard those words spoken by an unknown voice. She draws her blade and snaps to her feet, but darkness obscured her vision. "W-Who's there?" she calls, her voice meant to be tough and intimidating, but her voice came out as a that as a scared five year old's.

"It doesn't matter now. How hurt are you?" Lien called out to Iona, turning to looke at Blade to see if he had some sort of means to send something down like a line or rope to fish the trapped girl out of there.

Azrael pushed Ben off of him and leapt up and followed Lien and the others to where Iona had fallen into the pit. "Iona! Don't worry, we'll get you out of there!" Azrael called down and looked around for something to pull her up.

Blade flexed his left forearm, and a short whip appeared from under his sleeve. He grabbed it, and extended it down into the pit. When he could no longer see it, he ignited the whip with a thought, and the fire cut into the darkness.
"Can you see the flaming rope?" Blade yelled into pit.

As Argoth followed Garen he realized it would be no fun to wait for the army to get inside, so he headed back to the door where he anxiously waited for the enemy to arrive. Fortunately for him, they were almost upon them.

With all the events that took place unrelating to his situation, Garen got fed up, stopped asking questions, and began giving orders. "Azrael, Ben. You two lead me and my father to the mages. Everyone else, guard the entrance."

"Follow us then." Azrael said to Garen and his father. Ben floated infront of Azrael, his lantern igniting the way so they didn't stumble off of anything. They needn't worry about beasties and the sort when they were with Azrael or were considered an ally.

Iona saw the flame of the whip extending just to her reach. She almost went out and grabbed it, but realized it was on fire."I see it! Put it out! Let me up!" she calls, just wanting out. There was a loud noise of scuttling legs near her.
Meanwhile, Aetis was still on Azrael's shoulders, surprised the monk didn't feel him on him. His ride rightly left the others to get Iona out. Not that he wasn't concerned, but his desire to fight was stronger than his concern for her. If he had a choice, he would've left her there. Shame on her for not thinking about the traps. He shivered with excitement as he could just feel himself tearing flesh and ending life. He couldn't wait.

Blade extinguished the flame of the whip, and braced himself against the walls of the chamber. "I won't need help to pull her up. I need only that you stand clear." Blade said to Lien.

Iona jumped onto the whip, holding herself up by holding onto the whip, her feet on the wall of the pit. She could only imagine how stupid she looked. Already she felt herself blushing in shame. She was too careless to watch for traps and became a burden to these people. She shook her head, making her earrings jangle."I'm on!" she calls up to them.

"Hold on!" Blade called back. He turned around, still holding the whip, and slung it over his shoulder. He walked back the way they came until Iona was free of the pit.

Iona hit the lip of the pit and and let go of the whip, her hands burning. She crawled a distance from the pit and got up quickly, refusing to meet anybody's gaze, turning red."Sorry," she mumbled. She cleared her throat."So are we going somewhere?"

"Indeed, an army of a thousand approaches. We must devise a plan to escape, or fight them a few time by choking their advance." Blade explained. "I hope you're a better fighter than you are an adventurer."

The army was approaching fast, they would be here in less than two minutes. Argoth's excitement rose to new levels, "Woohooo! Let's get this party started fellas!" he yelled withdrawing his bow. He fired an arrow into the neck of the nearest enemy. The army replied by firing its own volly of arrows, all of which missed their intended target. Argoth laughed at them, "This is how you do it," he mumbled to himself, and began dispatching all of the archers the army had.
