Iona nodded."I'm good at it. I was the Gerudo's best." she said plainly, her hands cackling with electricity. If anything, she could fend the army's advances off with her electricity from afar, like the archers. She didn't see how they'd fend them off against that massive army, but she was willing to try. It beat starving in that pit.

"Well good, were going to need all the help we can get." Blade said, heading back into the temple's entrance hall.

As Garen and Jaru were following Azrael and Ben through various corridors, something seems to click in Jaru's mind. His memory of the battlemage's location was slowly returning. Another few turns and hallways later, they were walking by a large stone door on the wall. Then, Jaru's memory of the location came back in full force.
"Stop." Jaru halted the group. He walked up to the door, which had the appearance of two large vertical slabs built side-by-side into the temple. He pushed on a slab and it opened slightly. He then shoved it with almost his entire strengh, almost tackling the door open. It revealed a large chamber dimly illuminated by torch light. Staircases on both side of the room led up to a balcony where five battlemages rested and meditated. The mage sitting in the center came back to reality abruptly as he heard the strangers enter their chamber.
"To the center," the mage ordered. He pointed to a marble platform sitting in the center of the room with a large spirit symbol decorating the surface.
Garen turned to Azrael and Ben, "Help the others defend the entrance, we can handle things from here." He and his father marched onto the platform and gazed up at the mages.
"What do you desire?" The same mage asked. He seemed to be the leader.
Jaru stepped foward a few feet, "An old seal to be broken." He replied.
The leader bent forward in his throne-like chair and slightly squinted his eyes. He recognized Jaru's face. "Ah, Jaru Arthis, I rememeber our business from over thirty years back." He stated. "Your newborn child had grasped your bloodline's power far too early for him to control." His gazed panned over to Garen. "This is your son?" The leader asked, seeing that Jaru's son was now a man.
"Indeed I am." Garen confirmed.
"Jaru, are you sure he is ready for such power? If we had not sealed this one's power, it would created gates to other dimensions and other rifts that would tear this world apart. What makes you think he can keep it under his control?" The mage asked strictly.
"He is a child no longer, something you can all plainly see, and can clearly understand how to harness his ability." Jaru supported. "How he will contain it is something I'll teach him myself."
"Yes, but you'll need a more effective reason than that." The mages explained.
"What if I told you that an army of one thousand enemy troops are about to take this temple and possibly kill you five or take you prisoner and that with this power I can port all of your asses out of here!" Garen explained.
The leader was confused by Garen's words, "What? An army? Justify." The leader ordered.
"There isn't much to explain. An entire battlion of soldiers of an unknown origin are currently marching on this temple. We believe they want to capture it." He elaborated further.
The mage leader tilted his head down for a moment to think on how to act on this situation. Finally, he agreed to unseal Garen's power. "Very well, stand there." He said, leaving his seat and walked down the stairs to the platform. His fellow battlemages did the same and they, along with Jaru, surrounded Garen on the edges of the marble platform. All put their hands together and began to chant in a language unknown to Garen. Gradually, orange energy formed around their hands as they worked their unsealing spell. A pillar of orange energy began to shine around his body, the magic in the mages hand became more tense and bright. Garen remained inert throughout the process, not moving an inch. The pillar of orange light grew brighter and brighter.
Then, at the final stage of the ritual, the pillar burst into a flashing array of astounding light and color. Every sage and Jaru was at ease and the pillar of light faded. The seal was broken! Garen felt an enormous power surging through his body, but suddenly, it began to surge intensely. Garen's pulse shot up, an aura of dark red energy swirled and spiraled outward from Garen.
Jaru called out to his son, "Garen! You must not panic! Keep your mind at ease! Relax yourself."
Garen took a few deep breathes and calmed himself down, causing the starnge vortex of power to fade rapidly. He asked, "What was that? What happened?"
Jaru approached his son and apoligized, "I am sorry. I did not mention before that this power has one drawback... Your pulse and your mind. To keep this power under your control, you must stay calm under dangerous situations and you must keep your mind at ease." He explained. "A high pulse and an unstable mind can cause your power to run amock."
"Stay calm and cool." Garen repeated. "Got it, I cannot thank you enough for helping me unlock my power, father." He thanked with a smile on his face. Jaru continued to teach Garen about his power. A few basic techniques and methods were passed on. Garen praticed for a short while during his time in the chamber, he seemed to get increasinly better with each portal placed.
Finally, Jaru told his son, "You may not be able to do you much right now with your ability but if you continue to use your power and pratice with it, you'll surely be able to do great deeds with this gift."
"We're staying." The mage leader proclaimed. "This temple is our home and we will defend it."
"Good. Let's move people!" Garen ordered and stormed out of the chamber with Jaru and the battlemages right behind him.

The army's numbers were too great and Argoth could not pick off all of the archers the army posessed. But at this point it did not matter, they had reached the steps and were on their way up. Argoth deposited his bow back to its resting place and withdrew his sword. "Let the fun begin!" he yelled running to meet the first soldier who made up the stairs.

Eldrin purposely stood back behind all of his friends. If they wanted to fight fine, but in this situation he couldn't see a good reason for him to risk getting killed. Not to mention the fact that he had no weapons.

Iona rejoined with the group, failing to notice her companion was accessing the situation from a top another but taller comapanion's shoulders. She withdrew her blade and fastened the chain to it, and jumped high into the air, bursting into the fray soundlessly. As she hit the ground, her blade shredded the soft flesh of the throats of the two soldiers in front of her, and as more others came to advance on her, their bodies convulsed and seized as volts upon volts of electricity coursed through their bodies. They fell, more than dead and a little fried. Drawing her chainblade back, she dared the stunned soldiers surrounding her to come at her with a fierce cry.

"Argoth, Eldrin, go with him!" Blade yelled to them. He looked to Lien. "Come, we'll block their advance with corpses." He drew his daggers, and in a flourish of gold energy, they changed into hook swords. Blade charged the enemy and lopped off a soldier's sword hand. He grabbed the weapon out of the air. "Eldrin!" He yelled over the roar of battle before jumping and landing in front of him. "Need a weapon?"

Lien nodded at Blade, unsheathing both his translucent blades at he charged at the men. Having the tip of the dagger pointing downward in his right hand, Lien effortlessly blocked the guards' attacks with his sword and swung out his right hand as to punch the guards, only slitting their throats instead as he purposely 'missed' his aim at their necks.
With the weight the of bleeding guards on his sword, Lien casually cast them aside left to right as he advance through the guards, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake to slow the armiy' attempt to storm the temple. Blood rolled easily and smoothly off his diamond blades, casting droplets into Lien's clothes and onto the tiles of the temple, making the dry sand into a muddy mixture of blood.

"Not really," The Eldrin replied, smiling at Blade. Before the assassin could reply a soldier ran up behind the thief, swinging a large axe. Eldrin spun around his attacker, putting himself behind the man, and shoved him forward. The man stumbled into the weapon in Blade's hand, impaling himself. "But I don't like dying... So I'll take it!" He said, taking the weapon from Blade's hands. "Thanks!"

Argoth drove his blade into the chest his first victim, blood sliding off the end as it protruded from his back. He pulled his sword out and decapitated the next soldier that rushed him from the left. Immediately after the headless soldier fell two more replaced him. Argoth parried the sword of the first soldier and kicked his kneecap inward. His blade met the second soldiers just over his head, and he slid it off to the right. While his oppnent's guard was down Argoth finished him with an assassin blade to the throat. He turned back to the injured soldier just in time to deflect a blade aimed at his thigh. The man died as Argoth slammed his sword through the top of his cranium. Just as he finished him he heard Blade yell for him, and he began fighting his way back up the steps.

Azrael had grabbed a bow that had been cast aside ages ago and began firing at the soldiers. Black shafted arrows pierced their armor and into their hearts. Blood gushed from the punctured wound and the monk could feel their soul leaving their bodies in a most agonzing way.

Aetis had long since jumped off of Azrael's shoulders and was dodging boots and fallen enemies a like as he went around, biting his fangs into the calves of the soldiers of the oncoming line, his venom shooting through their bodies and freezing their nervous systems with crippling pain. Those he bit fell, screaming in agony and getting trampled by reinforcements. From a far, it would appear as though a powerful and invisible force was dropping the enemies like flies. Aetis only side winded quickly to the next soldier, his reptilian lips spread in a grin.
Not far from Aetis, Iona slashed and electrocuted her way through enemy forces. She created a force field around her, so that any soldier that approached her was promptly fried. The enemies that had managed to come into close range to her were immediately shredded by her chainblade. Iona would leap through the air with the poise of a ballerina and execute the enemies' killings with the skill of a swordsmaster twice her age. She fought with the stamina and bloodlust of a berserker. She was a blinding sight to behold with all her jewelry sparkling in the sunlight and the electricity surrounding her. She didn't seemed to be so confused now.

"Eldrin! Argoth! Get your asses up here pronto!" Azrael yelled over the battle as he continued firing arrows. He almost facepalmed himself when he could just send Ben to go get them.
"Ben! Go grab Argoth and Eldrin!" Azrael said to the poe.
Ben made a saluting motion and faded away.

Blade jumped back into the fray and fought through the enemy ranks in demonic frenzy, hook swords flashing about to rapidly perform his favorite manuver: tearing an enemy's throat out with the hooked ends. He thought his way to Iona, and felt his hair stand on end from the electricity surrounding. "You're damn good at this." He sliced an enemy's neck open with flat end of the blade. "It almost excuses all the trouble you get into." He joked.
