Iona leapt onto the back of a particularly large enemy and knocked him flat on his back. She then gave a savage slash across his back, her hair whipping across her face. She flicked her head back, panting, thinking over what Blade said. Just then an enemy raised his bow at Blade, the arrow pointed at the center of his back. Iona shot out her arm in that direction and a bolt of lightning struck him dead from the cloudless sky."It almost excuses?" she inquires and she turned back around, throwing her chainblade at another enemy. She yelled and cursed back at her enemies.

Ben appeared next to Argoth and yelled in his ear "THE DESERT MONKS HAVE NEED OF YOU, ASSASSIN!!" He laughed before going back to Azrael.
Torak dodged two sword swipes of two different soldiers and planted a hidden blade in each of their faces.

Eldrin laughed hysterically at Ben's method of collecting Argoth. He lit an arrow on fire and casually released it, aiming at a soldier near Prince Lien. The flaming arrow whizzed through the air and struck the soldier in an opening in his armor between his chest and helmet. The soldier fell to the ground, gripping the arrow desperately as the flames burned their way to his face. He yanked the arrow out, only quickening his demise. He fell forward with a low gurgling sound and died choking on his own blood.
"SUCCESS!!!" Eldrin yelled happily.

Garen burst out from the temple entrance with his father and the battlemages beside him. He stared at the chaos at the base of the stairs. the battlemages were quick to act and charged into the fray immediaty upon exit, drawing their various weapons and charging up their magic. The heroes were now five battlemages stronger. Once engaged, the mages swiftly and skillfully eliminated their opponents. The leader beared a large two-handed sword and cleaved his enemies into halves. Jaru remained at the entrance to avoid battle and decided that he may be old, but isn't dying yet.
Garen turned to Jaru and asked, "How long until you can create another large gate like before?"
Jaru focused his power, it was partially recovered, but was not enough to make another large portal. "My power seems to have recovered a bit, but it is too soon to make a gate like that. If I can focus and charge it, you have about... three minutes at most." Jaru replied.
"Get on it." He ordered. He turned to Azrael and Eldrin. "Protect my father. He's going to open yet another gate so we can get the hell out of here." After giving his orders, Garen joined the great battle, leaping from the stairs and onto a soldier, oblivious of his incoming demise, and executed him with a hidden blade to the neck. Garen got up in time to evade an enemy battleaxe aimed for the head. He drew his short sword and swiftly stabbed the soldier in the lungs. The hostle fell crippled and gagged until his death by trampling. Garen quickly switched from his blade to his axe and cleaved the nearest soldier in the chest. Then, flowed through and cut down more enemy soldiers with various strikes to the head, legs, stomach, and spine.

Lien had jumped out of the way when he heard the solider gargling by being struck by Eldrin's perfect aim, watching him suffer as the body crippled down into the ground. Hearing the battle cry of another solider coming up from behind, lien whipped around counter-clockwise, cleanly decapitating the guard.
He twirled his dagger in his hand to have the tip facing up, stabbing out his parrying dagger right through the eye vent of the second charging guard, listing to the sicking choke before yanking out the dagger and allowing the writhing body to collapse to the floor.

Some how, in the midst of the battle, Iona and Aetis reunited. But they didn't waste a minute to talk. They simply kept fighting, Aetis throwing himself on a solider and sinking his fangs in his throat and Iona frying the eyes out of several archers. The battle seemed endless, but Iona didn't move, but put away her blade and fought with electricity. It seemed as if they couldn't harm her, could they? Aetis was busy feasting on the arm of a freshly killed soldier while his human companion seemed to be a beacon of light on the battlefield, electricity pouring out of her.

(Okay, so I didnt read it all, I just kinda skimmed most of it. I'll just have Argoth reach Azrael)
Argoth was plunging his blade straight into the throat of an enemy soldier when the poe Ben appeared and shouted into his ear. "I'm working on it!" he yelled back, finishing yet another soldier. Argoth was on the last three steps when several black clad soldiers came charging in from the bottom. A shoulder plate smashed into his chest as he turned around to meet them. Unfortunately for his opponent, it did little to nothing. Argoth was pushed up a step and laughed into the pathetic man's face. He rammed his knee into the soldiers gut and wrapped his arm around his neck. The man's neck snapped easily as Argoth yanked upward on it. All of the other soldiers behind him wasted not time in getting to the man who had just killed one of their fellow recruits. Argoth promptly flipped the dead man in his arm around as a human shield just as several blades slashed and stabbed at him. The cadaver in his grasp a took the full force of all the attacks, becoming a slab of meat by the end of it. Argoth kicked the bloodied corpse into one of the soldiers in front of him, sending them both back down the stairs. He lashed out with his sword and lopped the top half of another soldier's skull off. For his last and final opponent Argoth kicked him in the chest, dispatching him down the steps. He whipped a hidden blade into his throat just before he collided with the stairs killing the soldier as he tumbled down the steps in a dead heap.
Argoth finally reached Azrael while beheading another enemy soldier, "Whatever we are doing it better be more awesome than killing these guys, cause I'm having one hell of a time!" he shouted in delight. He switched to his bow and began firing into approaching soldiers with deadly percision.

"It involves cutting off these guy's back up. Follow me." Azrael said as he turned on his heel and headed up the flight of stairs. Azrael fired off a couple more shots at the invading army and leapt onto a platform.

The force field suddenly fell. Where the others going to actually plan something? Should she be a part of it? Iona looked around for her companions, seeing them on a platform. Books on war were the only things Ganon allowed the Gerudo to read, and Iona had read most of them. The most reasonable course of action a their small group would do would be to cut off their reinforcements. But how? She glanced at her hand, which crackled with electricity. She smiled and pushed Aetis off her shoulders, running up to their platform. "Sorry. You're on your own,"she told him. They were getting help whether they liked it or not.

Eldrin casually followed his friends, carelessly firing more arrows into the battle. He stole an exploding arrow from Argoth's quiver as he passed him. The thief landed on the platform next to Azrael and fired the arrow into a line of archers toward the rear of the army. The arrow exploded in a cloud of fire, killing those closest and scattering the rest. "I could have done that on my own... But I thought this might be more fun. It wasn't..."

Once Iona left, Blade was unable to fend off all his attackers, and received a nasty cut to his right arm.
"Dammit." Blade growled. He grabbed Aetis and leapt to the arch near the door to the temple. "Alright, listen, I know you want to fight. I do too, but whatever they're planning won't be good for anyone still down there." Blade explained. "Besides, I was hoping you could wrap around my arm. It's pretty bad." Blade, not knowing how smart Aetis was, suddenly felt rather stupid for trying to reason with a snake.

With more soldiers approaching Garen every passing second, he battled his way to the top of the steps to his father.
"How much longer?" He asked.
"45 seconds." Jaru replied briefly, he was trying to concentrate his power.
"Just a little more people!" Garen called out. He stepped partway down the steps to decapitate a few advancing enemies with his axe.

Aetis stared at Blade dully for a moment, his bright yellow eyes taking the assassin in. He reluctantly loosened himself in the man's grip. He flicked his tongue out to catch his scent and then coiled part of his body around his wounded arm to stop the bleeding. He licked some blood that had gotten on him and licked his fangs before sinking them into an enemy's shoulders. When the screaming man fell, he turned back to Blade, his eyes seemingly conveying if he was going to join him.
