Eldrin had been watching the strange dragon girl curiously when Faro arrived. She was an odd specimen... She hadn't spoken a word since they'd arrived, she was very pretty, she was obviously disturbed by their presence, she wasn't too bad on the eyes (had he mentioned that?), and she was apparently trying to break her companions hand. Part of him wanted to go drag her into their conversation and make her be their friend, but another part told him that this idea wouldn't turn out well. He had learned his lesson with Icylius. One had to be gentle with the antisocial types, ease them in. He had forced his friendship upon Icylius and look what happened. He still wasn't sure if the guy liked him... It wasn't really his fault. Growing up with Ayishe had taught him very little about social subtlety. Not to mention, he had forced his friendship (and an odd 'older brother' type relationship) upon Sayo and it had worked out well enough. As far as his experience had been, forcing friendship worked fine...
"... But someone should tell me who the hell this guy is before I launch my dagger into his eye socket..."
Eldrin's dagger crossed Kadina's, the steel grinding with a metallic hiss. His was position opposite her's, gently bending it back, just enough to leave her wrist at an awkward angle. He deliberately crossed his left leg behind her right. It looked more like an unintentional stance, but it was entirely planned. This way, he could easily disarm and trip her within a couple seconds. Kadina was by far a better unarmed fighter than he was, so he knew he needed to give himself the advantage. Normally, he let his friends deal with these such matters and concerned himself with more frivolous pursuits, but this one could get messy. Kadina was more than capable of killing if she saw fit, and her electric feel was still unstable. On the other hand, Faro was Ganondorf's best assassin, and a master at pyrokinesis. If this had been some time back, Eldrin would have just deflected Faro's fire with his own and disarm Kadina physically. But now he had no such options, he had to end this early before someone got burned... Or disemboweled... Or electrocuted...
"Faro, meet Kadina! Kadina, meet Faro! I'll explain him later, he's alright." he said cheerfully, whispering the last part to Kadina in a more serious tone.

Faro knelt down to Max's level and returned his hug, it was nice to see him again after so long. As far as Faro could tell, the boy hadn't changed a bit. He looked to the bandit as she threatened him, and almost opened his mouth to say something, but then Argoth and Eldrin both defended him. He was used to having to talk down people like Kadina on his own. It was refreshing, and a bit unsettling, to see the others vouch for him so readily. He wasn't sure if addressing Kadina was the right move, so he spoke to Max instead.
"Good to see you again, kid. I see you're keeping your master on his toes."

Kadina gripped her dagger tighter when Max ran to the boy. Her knuckles turned white and she exhaled loudly through her nose when Eldrin suddenly disabled her stance. Surprised by his block, she looked at him, her eyes blinked wildly with concern that she would only reveal to someone as close to her. "... He's alright."Kadina trusted Eldrin despite the greedy trickster he could be. It was just always somehow understood that they had each other's back. That same understanding, however, wasn't evident in the introduction between Kadina and Faro. It seemed like something this guy would have to earn, but she wouldn't be so naive this time around. Not after Epiny. (An old friend who turned out to be using Kadina and her friends. See Luca's history for details) "He's a friend, and if the kid likes him, then you know he's alright." Argoth had a a point, but then again, Max had probably never been betrayed by a friend before. Kadina wasn't sure. Truth was, even Torir and Ilya could have been seen in this light. It surprised her how the Epiny incident hadn't much affected her trust, but maybe she should be a little more cautious. After all, that Ilya girl sure was quiet. She decided to put her weapon away for now, but would keep an eye on Faro. Trying not to be terribly rude, but also being partially indifferent, she nodded and said hey to Faro (very unenthusiastically) then turned to Torir and Ilya. "Sorry for waking you up, Ilya. It's nice to meet you... all...." Kadina shifted her eyes toward Faro and tried to sincerely direct the statement toward him as well, but it was impossible to facade. "Tell us! Where are you from? And what are you doing here in the mountains?" Kadina asked while clapping her hands together and looking back at Torir and Ilya. [maybe some more chit-chat and getting to know each other and then we can have Death Mountain erupt or something.]

"It's going to be alright." Torir said to her quietly.
Though few, his words were kind, and comforting enough to calm her down. Ilya closed her eyes and let go of his hand. Social interaction had always been difficult for Ilya. Not only because she was a mute. (In fact, she was pretty sure if she could talk, she'd be even worse off as she might say something embarrassing or idiotic.) Ilya was never comfortable meeting new people, let alone a group of energetic and mysterious strangers. She felt tension in the room.
"Sorry for waking you up, Ilya. It's nice to meet you... all...." Ilya opened her eyes quickly. She was talking to her. The girl. Kadina, was it? She smiled awkwardly and waved her hand, trying to indicate that she wasn't bothered by it. Though she sort of felt guilty about her lack of anger. In the past, she had shown no such patience when it was Torir who had awoken her. But could you blame her? Ilya was fascinated by the girl with feathers. She had a sort of charismatic manner that Ilya found interesting. She wanted to know more about her.
Kadina proceeded to ask something, but Ilya didn't process what was being said and she slowly walked towards her. Engaged in her curiosity, Ilya began towards her with entranced footing. She extended her right arm towards Kadina's.

Kadina was just as curious. The girl never seemed to say a word. The only other person she knew like that was Icylius, but so far Ilya had him beat at the quiet game.
When Ilya extended her arm to Kadina, she wasn't specifically sure what for. A handshake, perhaps? Kadina was afraid to startle the quiet girl who seemed alarmed earlier when addressed, but safely took her hand to shake it. She smiled and placed her other hand on her hip while they shook. "This is the most formal meeting I've had in months!" She laughed as her right arm then copied her left as the handshake ended. "You really don't say much, huh?" The bandit tilted her head a bit at Ilya and waited for a reply. She wondered if it would go unanswered like the others, but wouldn't hold it against her bashful new friend.

After Maximus had addressed all of his friends in the cave he turned his attention to the dragon riders. Kadina had apparently made contact with the girl, and from what Max could remember she hadn't spoken since they all arrived. She must be shy.. As the boy stood there he thought about the first time he had met all of Argoth's friends; it was one of the highlights of his life and it brought a smile to his face. After reminiscing about the old days Max decided to give Torir a warm welcome as well. He walked straight up to him, and now that the girl had let go of his hand, he could properly shake it. However not for long, once the two of them became good friends, hugs were all Max would settle for. "Hi!" Max greeted a little too enthusiastically, "I can't remember if we had gotten each others names yet, and I need to know yours when we become friends. My name is Maximus, what is your name?"
It was likely that Max had forgotten introductions from all of the "greeting" he was giving Kadina, Eldrin, and Faro, but now that he was going to make a new friend his face adorned a smile that could bring world peace.
Argoth remained standing where he was while Kadina and Max introduced themselves to the new girl and boy. He figured that after the two of them were done, introductions would inevitably go round.

Eldrin peeked over Kadina's shoulder at the shy girl. "Hm... I don't think her talker works..." he said examining Ilya with curious eyes. She didn't look wealthy at all... But she had a dragon. The thief figured those were probably not very cheap. Of course, he'd never met a dragon... Except Lien and Sappho. He wondered how much Lien would cost...
Getting a little too close for comfort, Eldrin sniffed the quiet girl. She didn't smell rich. Rich people were usually followed by a cloud of perfume so thick that Eldrin was surprised they didn't combust every time somebody lit a match near them... But this girl smelled more like a traveler. Not bad, but not artificially good either. More of a pleasant, rustic smell.
"I'm Eldrin, if you hadn't heard..." the thief said, backing off to return to his place next to Kadina.

As Torir watched Ilya Slowly walk towards the others, he decided that they might not be there to kill them. He turned back to Crimson and gave him a nod signaling that there was no threat. Torir turned back to see Ilya stretching her arm out to Kadina. It seemed strange but he pushed that aside. While that was going on, the small boy, Max, was walking straight towards him.
"Hi" Max said with much excitement. "I can't remember if we had gotten each others names yet, and I need to know yours when we become friends. My name is Maximus, what is your name?"
Torir was stunned. No one had ever greeted Torir. Especially not that enthusiastically. Torir always had to go up and greet people, and that was mainly when he needed something from them.
"Uhh...Hello...Max. Can I call you Max?" Torir said timidly. He then collected himself and was able to talk somewhat normally. "I'm Torir."

Faro stood and watched the others as they introduced themselves to the others. Based on Kadina's less-than-friendly reaction to his arrival in the cave, he decided to save his own introduction for later.
They seem rather shy Faro thought to Malevolence.
Indeed,[/i] He said with what seemed like a small chuckle. That bandit girl saw right through you, though.[/i]
Yeah, and? I don't need everyone to like me. Faro leaned up against the cave wall. Trust will come with time, as always. But some people just don't like you. Malevolence only made an agreeing noise.

"Of course you can!" Max answered gleefully, "Don't be shy, we're all your friends here." Max grinned up at Torir as he finished.
Argoth smiled at Max's greeting, they were always a little too over the top, but what could you do? That was just the kid's personality. A rarity if you asked him. Argoth decided he should probably introduce himself now and walked over to Torir and Max. "Haha, calm down there kid," he said, placing a hand on the top of his head. "He's always excited to meet new people. I'm his mentor, Argoth, and you are?" he asked, holding out his free hand for a shake.

Ilya let her hand fall back to her side as the introduction ended. Being the first handshake she'd ever offered, her heart was still racing.
"You really don't say much, huh?" The girl named Kadina tilted her head, to which Ilya found herself copying the gesture. She felt drawn to the bandit girl. And she wasn't quite sure why. She wanted to know more about this Kadina... not that she could ask her anything about herself. Ilya looked to Torir who was surrounded by others, preoccupied by a small boy. She looked down, wondering how to answer the question, and finally looked back up only to give the girl a shrug.

"Don't be shy, we're all your friends here." Replied Max, almost instantly though very enthusiastically.
Torir started thinking about what Max said: We're all friends...friends... Torir really hadn't ever had friends. Ilya was the closest person Torir ever knew and since she couldn't talk, he didn't know too much about her...
Torir snapped back to reality when he noticed Argoth walking closer.
"Haha, calm down there kid." Argoth said to Max. "He's always excited to meet new people. I'm his mentor, Argoth, and you are?
"That's okay, Argoth. I'm Torir, if you haven't already heard." Torir responded. Not knowing what to do next, he diverted his attention to Ilya. kadina was asking her a question, but Torir could not make out what the question was. Ilya responded with a shrug. Eldrin was also standing in front of Ilya. Eldrin appeared to be...smelling Ilya? I guess that's something normal people do. Thought Torir. It had been so long since he had been in contact with other people so he figured it must be a new thing. Eldrin and Kadina both had awaiting looks on their faces like they were waiting for Ilya to respond to them. They're going to be waiting for a little while. I should probably help out. He turned back to Max and Argoth. "I know that we've just met, but I've got to leave and sort some things out. I hope that's okay." He told them.
Torir turned and walked over to Ilya. He held out his hand for Kadina. "Hi, I'm Torir. If you're waiting for Ilya-" He motioned to Ilya with his left hand, "to answer a question then you're going to be waiting for a while."

Eldrin smiled at Torir's words. He had figured the girl, Ilya was apparently her name, could not talk. A person who was simply quiet usually would have at least said something by now. "Told ya!" he commented to Kadina, before turning his attention to Faro.
"You know, quiet and antisocial doesn't earn trust..." he said quietly, coming to stand next to Faro. "Why don't you go say hi? Now's the time, when introductions are running rampant... Later might be too late."

"You have a point, but your friend looks like she's still ready to gut me." Faro explained. "She seems a bit off by the way, like she just learned a powerful spell and can't wait to try it. Still, I should at least say hello." Faro stood up straight and walked toward Torir. "I won't have you repeat your names again. You're Torir, and she's Ilya. I'm Faro Sukui, and the pleasure is mine." He said, offering a slight bow.

"Oh! Well... then that's okay. Is it laryngitis? We could go down the mountain and get some medicine from the village. Ya know... maybe let me test drive your dragon or something." Kadina waved her hands through the air nonchalantly and looked up at the ceiling before staring behind Ilya at one of the dragons. She hadn't even considered the possibility that Ilya might be mute and figured they'd be swapping stories in no time. Kadina then saw Faro approaching them. "Hey! Now's as good a time as any, right? Yeah?" She couldn't help her rudeness and tried to encourage their pursuit of medicine before Faro came any closer, but it was too late. She sighed and shrugged to one side then blew a strand of hair out of her face in annoyance. His aura was killing her mood. (Sorry Faro )
